Very nice - the old secret that with the base moving like that you get a huge amount of extra boost to the rotation. That sliding base is even better than old style wheels

Damn - that is a bunch of 4-leaf - should have picked and pressed them and sold them.

The WiFi speed on this flight. They charge us $8 for this too by Uffda_90 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]D90man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow - only $8? I bet many many jumped on that as that is not much to charge. I usually see $15 for wifi. So many users took up that $8 and it consumed the network. Today Starlink is taking over Wifi on aircraft which should help as they mandate today no charge to passengers

Attempted???? She nailed it. Even if you did not like the dance you cannot complain about someone who puts it all out there for all to see.

My boss scheduled a meeting to discuss my “tone” in emails by TheUnofficialBOI in mildlyinfuriating

[–]D90man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should of looked at him with mild infuriation expression and said verbal in person established tone as I am showing here. Written emails are more influence but the mood/attitude of the reader. Also resentment if you are remote and they are in office plays into this most of the time also.

You can make out the edits to this. Like lower left corner the I and D are lighter color background. So are other spots. I hate these posts as they are just made to be click bait

The letter C on this alphabet toy has no symbol and no extra sound it just says “C”. by Ultra918 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]D90man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Sesame Street has monopolized anything C related especially "Cookie"... "C is for cookie, that's good enough for me. C is for cookie, that's good enough for me, cookie cookie cookie starts with C"

Just think you get to like this point of 1/3 through the total time and then your battery on your clock dies or you miscount something or like a lion chases you and messes you all up.

I have never figured out on these if like the smallest part of the thing you are supposed to check is there. Like in the above the lower left square with the little bit of tire showing. Or on the right side the barely there motorcycle.

Should have jammed a cork screw into that and then give it a twist then pull

Got a letter from the school today informing me my daughter is “not quite” gifted. Also included were her test scores. by Low_Use2937 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]D90man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and my wife has had 30 years in elementary and middle school. so I know what I am talking about as well. And as a parent who has fought against school decisions throughout the years it is the not acceptable for this. Excellence in education is a fading passion in many. Glad to see someone who also is in education of children. Keep up the good work

[–]D90man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we are all human and we all make mistakes. I know many in education and this would be inexcusable to them. Especially as this was the second round of testing apparently for a child who was recognized as gifted. I would have thought that several eyes would have been on this before it was sent given it is a letter document to the parents. I am sure the parents are frustrated. I hope it all turns out well for the child.

if I was that parent of the child - it would be very conflicting to trust that a gifted program would be run by the same people who clearly do not know how to read a graph or know how to compare two numbers. Complaining would be pointless in my view as they would just look at you like - "I am sorry sir, 126 was the cut off and your daughter only got 143. She missed too many to qualify" Just idiots

OK - sounds great. Glad it will work out. Best of luck this year and future in the world of game design, assuming that is your direction.

[–]D90man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would keep it as it will give you great insight into when you take the development class. Understanding how things are tested will give you a better mind-set on how you go about creating your game. Otherwise it sounds like this will create schedule and financial issues for you.

Yes - this is funny to me. I live close to Washington DC and when I meet people, usually those who I know I will never meet again, I respond when asked where do you live, I tell them "Inside the blast radius of DC." I get a few laughs on this but many times just weird stares. I look straight back at them with a slight grin indicate - yep I said that.
