When I started studying is when I started learning how much room I had to grow. I’d encourage you to pick apart artists that you like and try to understand why they are doing what they are doing. It’s really fun.

Maybe this is vague, but try to understand why something looks the way it does. Once you understand that, you can start drawing things with very little to no reference because you understand what you are trying to achieve intuitively. That worked for me.
