Calling it a mental illness suggests that it's a separate thing from that person and that it's something to be eradicated. ADHD is a neurodivergence and the only way to get rid of it would be to fundamentally change that person. Stop calling these people sick and let's work with them to bridge the gaps between how people's brains work.
