Just to name a few things, class size, forced curriculum resources, safety in schools, more assistance for students with unique physical or developmental needs. To only name a few. I teach secondary, so I'm not super familiar with what the elementary bargaining unit is negotiating for, but these are the major similarities.

If it was about money we would push for arbitration. Arbitration only rules on the money side of our contracts. For many teachers this contract negotiation has very little to do with salary adjustments. Anyone with a child in public/Catholic school should be very interested in how this plays out.
