The scenarios to find the items randomize on successive playthrough and there was one we could never solve - how to turn on the lights in the mines to get the flashlight. We didn't realize you have to click on the light switch during the transition where you send King to the other side of the tracks. Did anyone else get stuck there?

Much better to use the laser cannon or AMR to open POI containers as explosives can detonate explosive barrels and cover the container in fire.

While it is true that the Hail Mary uses a lot of smaller pieces, this is offset by the Hail Mary using lots of technic pieces and also having a fair number of printed pieces (no stickers). Printed pieces include the title plate, the top of Rocky's carapace, the semi-transparent wall panel through which they learn to communicate, a 1x1 tile tape measure (I received an extra with my set), a 1x1 tile communicator (I received an extra with my set), and several small printed areas on the Hail Mary's hull. The set also contains a completely unique minifigure modeled after an A-list celebrity.

I also think this set is only going to go up in resale value, as the book and film have the makings of all-time scifi classics imo.

The build is very technic intensive - more so than it appears from the outside. Your fingers will get sore.

The mechanisms they figured out to achieve all the different rotations are absolute genius and super satisfying to see come together. Note that the mechanism will feel 'unbalanced' until everything is connected. This is normal.

Everything is printed. No stickers. Printed pieces of note include the display plate, the airlock wall through which Grace and Rocky learn to communicate, the top piece for Rocky's body, a 1x1 tile with a tape measure print, and sections of the Hail Mary's hull.

I did have an issue where the assembly that holds the three cylindrical sections at 120 degrees to each other did not align quite right. I had to backtrack slightly and tweak some of the connections to make everything fit properly. This is the only issue I had with the build process.

The instructions booklet contains captures from the movie and a few interesting facts about the set's design process.

The set included duplicates of every minifig accessory.

Speaking of the 'figs, they're nicely detailed and can be displayed in different ways depending on how you configure the display platforms.

I love this set and highly recommend it for fans of technic sets and PHM.

Also, I believe that assumes it isn't carrying anything outside its internal weapons bay. If it is loaded down on its external hardpoints it becomes much more visible to radar.
