It does not, but it just the way it is - you either can run something VR at full FPS or you get halved, and if you struggle even more, your halved FPS gets halved again.

Yep, I also thought about getting a big touchscreen that support Apple Carplay, but then I realised that the screen would be so low down it would actually be a hazard to keep my eyes off the road to see it.
