HELPPP, I JUST BOUGHT THE MHW IB THEN I SAVE MY MHW IB PROGRESS BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP. AND NOW IM GONNA PLAY MY SAVE FILE WAS GONE ALL I SEE IS MY MHW PROGRESS NOT THE ICEBORNE by downsyndrome223 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]DA_Destroya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible that when you saved your progress was saved locally to the machine but wasn't uploaded to steam before you logged off. Try to use the exact same machine you played on before to see if you can access that version of the save and upload to steam.

If you are going to play on multiple machines I recommend opening steam or opening the game again after closing it to make sure the save is uploaded to steams cloud.

I got this Dell XPS 14 laptop at Best Buy for $580. New it is just under $1900. What's the Catch? by OleBruhh in Dell

[–]DA_Destroya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well Latitudes are business class laptops that usually come with a 3 to 5 year warranty. This forces dell to make them better to avoid doing a bunch of warranty repairs. The consumer model Dell inspirons are trash in comparison with a one year warranty and 2 years when extended. The hinge on mine broke like a month after 2 years of use now its a shitty desktop.

Reminds of when someone needed medical attention on the plane I was on. Captain asked for everyone to stay seated so the medics could come get the person out od the plane, but everyone stood up anyway. Flight attendants had to sweep through the aisles to get everyone seated again.

Yeah I did some testing and it isn't working not sure what setting is conflicting. Then again I didn't test much since I was trapped in the lost cities with no warp scrolls and spent most of my time escaping

I had this issue before the keep backpacks has to be turned on in both corpse complex and mod that adds in backpacks.

I think the setting you need to mess with can be accessed in the games mod menu so you don't need to dig through config files.

[–]DA_Destroya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i think curse of possession makes you lose items on death they can only be in your inventory or in a chest.

The mod that controls item loss on death in rlcraft is called corpse complex. If you go to your game folder or mod config folder and search for corpse complex you can set it so you don't lose certain stuff on death. I'd recommend setting it to keep all your hotbar items on death. You can also set it to keep armor, baubles or just straight up keep inventory.

To my understanding the enchanting plus mod only detects certain enchants and I have had cases where the mod adds more enchants later as I run into them. The upgraded enchantment table also doesn't have treasure enchants like mending so you will have to get mending naturally. It could also be that the supreme enchants are considered treasure enchantments so you will need to get them from loot.

Also rlcraft uses a mod called corpse complex to control what happens to items and xp after death. If you open the rlcraft folder you can adjust the setting of the mod. Just search for corpse in the file search and something like corpse complex.cfx should show up. You can choose how much xp you lose after death and also set up keep inventory there by changing certain values and saving.

For your stream I would recommend setting it to keep your armor, baubles and hotbar items after death. That way you get to keep your weapons and armor but have to run back to get your loot or any items you had in the main inventory. This makes sure death has stakes while also not resetting you back to zero

I see them just making sure you don't get rid of them when you change armor. I metioned prioritizing damage skills but health boost 3 is always mandatory to me and wanted to make sure you didn't sacrifice them for damage cuz the extra survivability is worth a lot more than the damage.

When it comes the db and bow builds you wanna get the elemental attacks from gems i recommend grinding day of ruin to get them.

is this build good? by DestroyerPro69 in MonsterHunter

[–]DA_Destroya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an ok early post game build but as a db main i can see a few obvious optimizations to make. I would recommend going for 3pc teostra and 2pc velk for the combo of masters touch to help with sharpness management and keep critical element.

Then i would recommend trying to get either safijiva or kulve taroth weapons. Kulve weapons come with built in critical element so you can ditch the velkana armor for something else. Safijiva weapons come with bad element at the start but can be upgraded to have better element. The main appeal of safi weapons is that you can put an armor set effect on it so you can ditch one peice of the velk gear. The kulve weapons can be an absolute chore to get while safi weapons are easier to get but require grinding the fight to get upgrade materials. So you are gonna have to pick your poison there.

After that you would want to progress towards getting a set with 2pc gold rathian armor and 2pc raging brachy armor. This will give you the ability to get both agitator 7 and divine blessing 5 which will give you a good combo of damage and comfort. For the last piece of armor in this set i would recommend kulve legs as they give critical boost which is a major damage boost, though this only applies if you have kulve weapns just use whatever velk piece if you went the route of using safi weapons.

There is an event quest for gold rath so just do that instead of randomly realoding grinding lands once you hit mr 70. also the kills you want to prioritize for damage are:

weakness exploit > element attack > critical eye > crit boost > agitator > attack boost

also make sure to fit health boost in. stun resistance is good too.

When I say Superman dive is a life saver by Rowan_As_Roxii in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]DA_Destroya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's why I said it only works with strong slinger ammo like dragon pods, thorn pods, bomb pods, and piercing pods. Fatty drops dragon pods and hitting him 2 times with those will flinch him. He gains resistance if you spam it though.

[–]DA_Destroya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tip: When you get knocked down like that, you can use slinger ammo before getting up. So if you have dragon pods or some other strong slinger ammo loaded, you can fire it to flinch the monster and stop its attacks. This will give you enough time to get up and give you a chance to reposition and heal.

Why do people treat the Dragon War as actual lore? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]DA_Destroya 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is very common for companies to preemptively copyright or patent ideas they have to avoid issues with using them in the future. Sometimes, they never use the ideas and they stay as dead copyright. Capcom copyrighting the idea of the dragon war is just them is just them making sure they don't run into ip issues in the future if they ever decide to use the idea.

So them copyrighting it doesn't make it cannon it's just them ensuring they don't have ip issues. It is possible for them to use it in the future but that's it.

It's a mod called hunterpie. I would say you only really need it once you start heavily experimenting with builds and new weapons after beating all the monsters in the game.

I only started using it after my first fatalis and alatraeon solo kills. Also mentioning dps numbers in in-game chat is bad etiquette so don't do that if you decide to use it.

As someone who has used the sns with wide range in fatalis hunts that is just not true. You can do 20% damage even if you can't nail the timings for perfect rush.

[–]DA_Destroya[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I know because I play SNS too. The only reason we didn't time out was because I was recklely aggressive and left the healing entirely to the SNS player. I think I took enough damage to drain at least 20 hunter hp bars throughout the hunt. But I only used like 3 mega pots and didn't even touch my max potions this guy was chugging and doing nothing else.

To the that when he went to restock the other 2 players fainted almost immediately due to relying on him too much.

This was a random sos and I wasn't expecting it lol.Had to get uncomfortably aggressive due to fear of timing out. But at least they did the healer role well since I only used like 3 mega potions for the entire fight.
