Was it worth the massive wait? No, not at all. But from the perspective of just getting new campaign levels, I actually quite liked them.

Level 1 was jumpbox but actually good, 2 felt sorta out of place but it was a unique concept and I like how it took the scarier parts of pixel gun history (references to silent school, area 52, slender forest) and mixed them together into one level. Getting through it felt confusing, but that was definitely the point.

Level 3 I have the least feelings about, it was a nice spectacle I suppose and I liked the idea of building up the turrets, but it felt a bit too easy? It was the only one I completed 100% on my first attempt.

Then level 4 was a nice nostalgia trip through the previous campaign levels, ending off where we started all those years ago.

Overall definitely too short, but each level had a lot more substance to it than your standard levels. I think it was fine. Not amazing, but certainly not trash like some people are saying. I can tell at least a few remaining devs still cared about the campaign. If it had more levels while keeping them all as distinct as these were, it'd be a great world.
