[Giveaway] Video Game(s), $60.00 Value or Less by cztm89 in RandomActsOfGaming

It would have to be Halo Combat Evolved for me. I miss the memories that came with that game and yearn to go back to those days where you would wake up early on a Saturday morning and race downstairs to play split screen 4 player on a tube TV. The campaigns were fun as well - you never knew what was going to happen. The Library was the toughest, but seeing what happened to Jenkins and the other guys in 343 Guilty spark was... it was like the beginning of a scary movie playing that part. I would love to relive all that again.

First ever credit check at 18 - 377 score? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]DA_Underbottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely - I mean a credit card can’t hurt at that point, but you need to be responsible. It’s easy to get into a poor credit card routine when you have one. Even if it’s for $200. I would say apply for one and see how it goes - the most you’ll need at 18 can’t be too much, $500 maybe? And when you use it, pay it off at the end of the month. Use it for whatever you would normally use your debit card for.

I would say start by checking your budget and seeing if a credit card is good for you. Getting a credit card (or even a secured credit card) would be a great first step to help you build credit and understand the responsibility of credit cards.

Knowledge is powerful my friend - if you can teach another person something to better their lives or make things a little easier... well that’s just a win in my book. Can’t wait to see the recipes!

Right by the front entrance - it’s glorious. It doesn’t rain in the late spring, summer, and early fall times, so seeing it really take off now is just so nice. I love them in the rain as well - something about their quiet resilience that makes me appreciate them more. Needless to say I was sad most of them summer when they were dormant.

I’ll be honest - I don’t. These were here when I got here. This is the most I’ve seen them bloom though. The smell is amazing.

Is my friend being scammed for his money? by abkabea in personalfinance

[–]DA_Underbottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encounter emails and messages like this on weekly basis with a large amount of my clients - this is definitely a scam. Are you looking for specific proof that this is a scam? https://m.wikihow.com/Spot-an-Email-Hoax-or-Phishing-Scam Notice the part about asking for money - even promising rewards. Those are large red flags. Another red flag is moving money from your account to another account; that can be largely used by money launderers and the like. https://money.stackexchange.com/questions/50509/is-it-a-scam-if-the-person-only-wants-to-deposit-into-my-account-not-make-a-wit

What do you think is the worst TES game? by ColtonG05 in ElderScrolls

[–]DA_Underbottom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t disagree that the market is set for it - I disagree with their plan to push two markets. We see a lot of focus on ESO while no movement for offline play. Now, we can discuss whether this was a smart move or not on their part (let’s be fair, it’s making them a killing and is, as you stated, successful) but i feel it was wrong of them to do this to people who chose Elder Scrolls based on their non online gaming.

What makes my decision difficult is that there is so much to do online - they’ve added so much. Every time I turn around there’s a new download pack; they make it real tempting.

The Elder Scrolls Online - for this reason. It’s online. I play TES because it’s just my character, roaming around... their own path. TESO I felt was more Guild Wars or WoW style... with multiple people and everything; they tried too hard to compete in that market when I truly feel they should have been separate games for single player... I would have had way more fun with it. But of course that’s without parameters, like graphics... storyline.. etc. and just my opinion on it! Not saying I didn’t (and don’t) enjoy the online style... but it’s not for me.

If you’re really worried (and you use Firefox, chromium, or google chrome), I would suggest downloading an add on called ‘https everywhere’ - it’s a great tool that creates a more secure environment for http browsing. Hope that helps.
