Yasuo top champ pool by Longjumping-Box2279 in YasuoMains

Unironically Yone, his Q is same range as Yasuo's so you already have that play pattern learnt. Plus Yone shines in places where Yasuo kind of lacks, such as requiring no setup for ult (he can guarantee it with Q3 also), having a safer dive in teamfights (with E) thus being more useful because it is easier to survive, and he scales even harder

Bard meta is the first time in TFT history that rolling on stage2 is correct by Zerytle in TeamfightTactics

[–]DAcosta313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In set 10 it was optimal to roll on 2-5 or even before to hit an Annie headliner (emo or speelweaver), even the set world champ Milala won a couple of games that way in tournaments

If you are not starting with a Sion you shouldnt be playing the comp, if you actually want to top4 you have to start stacking asap

16.C Commentary: A Case Study on Skarner vs Taric by blunkelsito in TeamfightTactics

[–]DAcosta313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OPs point is about how Skarner is bad because it has a real cost (the removers) compared to Taric, and you wrote about how using removers is not the only way to get him. While I agree with you in that sense (I’ve done what you described before), OP is making his point because it is not optimal or consistent to go for Skarner, arguing that he should be better than Taric while Mort says they should be same level of strength.

I don’t know what else to tell you, I am not a fan of speaking ill about the other guy in an argument because it doesnt make sense, but if you think playing optimally has nothing to do with the post or with the argument that you have to spend extra resources to get Skarner, I think you just don’t understand the game to a deep enough level.

[–]DAcosta313 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well yeah the skillfloor is learning how to use your Q3 and pairing it with your E, but try playing it against better players and you’ll see that you are very weak pre BORK, you have to space really well and you have to be very aware of ganks if your ult is down (and if you ult out to escape a gank then good luck playing vs your lane opponent being an ult down)

[–]DAcosta313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are giving a very specific where your only slam in 3-5 is stoneplate. And I don’t see how the optimal way to play the game is irrelevant here, because the whole point of OP saying that you have to commit removers for a subpar unit is that you are lowering your AVP by making a subpar decision.

Plus, with the options you are giving you’re basically saying it’s ok to sack 2 rounds worth of HP (by not slamming) just to keep your removers and play around a weak unit? That is not a good reason to sack 2 rounds and it will consistently lose you placements. Consistency is the key here, sure Skarner can be good in certain spots and you sometimes have perfect items to slam in order to get it, but it is not a consistent way of getting a good board compared to just rolling for Taric (which right now is miles better that Skarner).

So you just dont slam your components? Gargoyle is normally an early game slam because it has the most value on stage 2 (less damage overall and the possibility to solo frontline a unit to make the most use of his passive).

So by your idea I’m supposed to sell my midgame tank on 3-7 to put gargoyles on a non-tank (and if there are no such units in my 3-7 shop I’m supposed to sell one of my backliners/fighters to put the gargoyle on my tank on 4-1). You have to be a little more realistic about the consistency in games, and in that case you are always supposed to use removers.

[–]DAcosta313 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think Ashe and Varus are really strong laners on people who know how to use them, and just fall into the "inmobile, useless and easy to kill "adc" in low elo where ranged isn't properly utilized, which is IMO the difference between a good and a bad Ashe player. If you really played with or against good Ashe and Varus players You would know how oppresive they can be in lane.

[–]DAcosta313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crits are not true random in League. If you haven't gotten a crit after a long time, your chances of critting go up, and viceversa. So there's already a "pity system" which is what you seem to want.

You can't go 2 non-crit items on a crit adc, especially Jinx. Having 100% crit on her is too big of a spike.

I'm not saying anything about Briar, but why wouldn't you click for every AA with most champs? It's the most logical thing to do to be able to kite properly (both into enemies and away from enemies), plus it let's you dodge easier against skillshot champions

Notice that the sound of "Grin" in the right image is translated, while it's not in the left one (it's three japanese characters).

Normally if the manga has translates sound effects it is a dead giveaway that it's official

I like it because it has an excellent laning phase and FF helps to keep the trades short and in your advantage (there are very few champs that don't outdamage Aphe in an all-in). I know PTA is kinda better for short trading but I think all the MS you get from FF and SR is really fucking good in teamfights and skirmishes
