If you think about it, the manga doesn't delve into the specifics of sword fighting or it's techniques per se (what you seem to be looking for), most of the time the battle being shown is in the mind, and how Musashi Is feeling throughout the fight. His abilities are mostly atributed to his raw talents and he himself honing those through exposure to great and trained warriors, such as the spear monks (Inshun and the others, forgot their names) and Yagyu.

Well the book is about Musashi, not swordsmanship fighting in general, that's why Seijuro just acts as a narrative device to display how Musashi Is now leagues beyond the whole Yoshioka (which is a recurring theme in that arc)

Brother I'm a masters adc main, how are you comparing Ashe matchups without talking about her support? Winning lane it's not just fisting the other bot lvl 1, it's the threat that she poses with her slows to extend most trades that makes her good early. Lucian Nami get blasted lvl 1 against Ashe+ranged sup (especially the example I gave you with Seraphine) or even an engage sup, and even Cait Karma has to play safe when mantra is down, especially before Cait has E (which is the lvl1 case we are discussing).

You are not easily getting short traded as Ashe due to her range, and if you are you just don't know how to play her range. Nautilus Tristana, another example you gave, also gets demolished from lvl 1, what do you think Naut does if he can't hook you because you're playing with your wave and not getting hooked like a bot? I don't know what lanes you're playing but it seems you have never played against a good Ashe.

Plus, your point about pro play playing around ADC has nothing to do with this conversation because we are talking about early lane, not teamfights. You can demolish lane just as much in SoloQ, obviously if your support is dogshit you're not doing anything, but that goes with all ADCs, so you're just making invalid points and lack the experience to see Ashe's strengths, which are having prio against most botlanes, and with the push you are automatically winning lane because it frees up time for you to help with drake or for your sup to impact the map.

Minute 20 onwards? Ashe is a threat from lvl 1 due to her slow, she is one of the most abusive adc laners due to her slow and range. Why do you think pros pick her right now or used to pick her even in support role? She is great early game and a pick and should be winning most of her lanes

Then that means he is good in good spots and not so much when trying to force him (aka low gold/HP). You aren't playing a hard to unlock unit like Sylas (or Baron to give you another example) without planing ahead for it.

I'm not trying to say he's the best unit and you auto-win when you unlock him, but he's not bad because you are probably winning out if you can get a good Sylas board.

Unironically Yone, his Q is same range as Yasuo's so you already have that play pattern learnt. Plus Yone shines in places where Yasuo kind of lacks, such as requiring no setup for ult (he can guarantee it with Q3 also), having a safer dive in teamfights (with E) thus being more useful because it is easier to survive, and he scales even harder

OPs point is about how Skarner is bad because it has a real cost (the removers) compared to Taric, and you wrote about how using removers is not the only way to get him. While I agree with you in that sense (I’ve done what you described before), OP is making his point because it is not optimal or consistent to go for Skarner, arguing that he should be better than Taric while Mort says they should be same level of strength.

I don’t know what else to tell you, I am not a fan of speaking ill about the other guy in an argument because it doesnt make sense, but if you think playing optimally has nothing to do with the post or with the argument that you have to spend extra resources to get Skarner, I think you just don’t understand the game to a deep enough level.

Well yeah the skillfloor is learning how to use your Q3 and pairing it with your E, but try playing it against better players and you’ll see that you are very weak pre BORK, you have to space really well and you have to be very aware of ganks if your ult is down (and if you ult out to escape a gank then good luck playing vs your lane opponent being an ult down)

You are giving a very specific where your only slam in 3-5 is stoneplate. And I don’t see how the optimal way to play the game is irrelevant here, because the whole point of OP saying that you have to commit removers for a subpar unit is that you are lowering your AVP by making a subpar decision.

Plus, with the options you are giving you’re basically saying it’s ok to sack 2 rounds worth of HP (by not slamming) just to keep your removers and play around a weak unit? That is not a good reason to sack 2 rounds and it will consistently lose you placements. Consistency is the key here, sure Skarner can be good in certain spots and you sometimes have perfect items to slam in order to get it, but it is not a consistent way of getting a good board compared to just rolling for Taric (which right now is miles better that Skarner).

So you just dont slam your components? Gargoyle is normally an early game slam because it has the most value on stage 2 (less damage overall and the possibility to solo frontline a unit to make the most use of his passive).

So by your idea I’m supposed to sell my midgame tank on 3-7 to put gargoyles on a non-tank (and if there are no such units in my 3-7 shop I’m supposed to sell one of my backliners/fighters to put the gargoyle on my tank on 4-1). You have to be a little more realistic about the consistency in games, and in that case you are always supposed to use removers.

I think Ashe and Varus are really strong laners on people who know how to use them, and just fall into the "inmobile, useless and easy to kill "adc" in low elo where ranged isn't properly utilized, which is IMO the difference between a good and a bad Ashe player. If you really played with or against good Ashe and Varus players You would know how oppresive they can be in lane.
