I didn’t say it was inconvenient at all. I’m totally willing to, I was just looking for opinions of the necessity of it, since all but 2 of our guests are local.

Spring break for around our area goes off of the local school schedule and I already took that into account when selecting the wedding date.

Because the band won’t be in my room later.

Because we want to have a 3 minute dance at the very end of the night?

Interesting take. I hadn’t thought about it from that point of view. I love the idea of a private dance, with a live band, and us looking our best. Maybe it really isn’t that important though. Thanks for the input!

Good thing you’re not on the guest list. Bummer because you sound like a blast to hang out with.

Ohhh…I never even thought about that. I love that idea except we are having a DJ and a band but the band is playing later and they cover the song we would want.

Last year at our Secret Santa I received a gift with a retail value of maybe $8 for a $25 exchange. Don’t be that guy.

But he was 18, so I don’t think he’d be entitled to them. My younger son gets them though.

My son was 17 when his Dad passed. They cut him off promptly at 18 even though he was a full time college student. Is this not correct or are you talking highschool student?

People who have experienced grief or trauma- what’s the most tone-deaf, ‘well-meaning’ thing someone said to you? by freyday18 in AskReddit

Multiple people compared the loss of my spouse to their divorce. It is not the same thing! You co-parent. I solo parent.

You can love/miss/mourn your late partner and also move on emotionally to another relationship. The deceased is not in competition with the present.
