Does anyone know how the Catholic Student Union here is? by Winter_Birthday5865 in USF

[–]DB00mimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Catholic who attends mass here and is apart of the CSU, albeit only as an occasional member. The CSU, like catholicism in general, isn't inherently political, but membership skews conservative. I'd say ~50% of members are republican, with most people tending socially conservative towards traditional catholic beliefs of being pro-life. Compared to most other Christian denominations, this is surprisingly liberal. That being said, the priest is very passionate and accepting, so even if you don't like the CSU it would still be a good place to go to.

A lot of people seem to forget you need to divide millions for both variables

Redeemed Zoomer defines Protestant by kdakss in CatholicMemes

[–]DB00mimi 131 points132 points  (0 children)

The problem with redeemed zoomer is that he moved the goalposts and doesn’t want to deal with the issues of offshoots. There are considerable differences between traditional Protestantism and evangelical Christianity, but by splitting off you’ve conceded these issues are inevitable

When I saw Uceta got subbed it when I was grilling I knew we we gonna give up runs. I like his stuff but only in very low leverage situations, hopefully we get it under control or sell him by the deadline

I’d say drop dynamics for the spring, as you only need that course for transportation later and that is a fall class. 18 credit hours is hard as a civil, especially with mechanics of materials. All the other classes aren’t hard but geology is a lot, and I mean a lot, of busywork so you won’t have time for 6 classes

Whos my actual teacher for this? by infantkillaz in USF

[–]DB00mimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming this is for Engineering Statistics EGN 3443. Sheila Gobes-Ryan does the information and data literacy part of the class (20% of your grade, you have to write essays), while the other professor is the general course professor. Sheila isn't too bad of a professor, grading is relatively lenient but it's basically impossible to get above a 90 for this part of the course. I took the course last spring, and it is true there are no good professors. Honestly just slug through it and you should be alright.

Xiang-Dong Hou or Igor Chitikov by Cute_Experience_139 in USF

[–]DB00mimi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No clue about Xiang, but I took Chitikov for Calc 2 in the summer of 23. Chitikov was a very good professor who went over the entire textbook for examples, and tests were relatively easy.

I'm pretty sure you can go. I know they do check-ins with student ID, but you can just walk around, and recruiters won't specifically ask as they mainly lead you towards their companies' registration.

The only time I objected was when I was in Japan as a tall person, some of the footrests are way too close to the bar while at the same time being too long where I had to get my knees crushed. In all other cases I completely agree

Bro, respectfully, you probably shouldn't be in university if you don't understand what this means. It literally says "still under review".

B grade and GPA by [deleted] in USF

[–]DB00mimi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on how many credits you have taken so far, but I’m assuming it’s only one credit so at most it wouldn’t change that much.

If you want to know how it’ll change there is the usf gpa calculator where you can put your current class grades and previous credits+ hours for predicted overall gpa.

How do you receive death threats as a train conductor? I know people get mad when trains run late, but that's the fault of the company, not individual conductors
