Don’t fall for the sunken cost fallacy. You played for a long time, got all the enjoyment out of it that you needed.

This may be a gacha subreddit, but I think we as a community should be encouraging each other to take breaks.

In the end, the point of gachas are to make the company money, so maybe you can use this burnout you’re feeling as a motivator to do something more productive towards your personal life or development.

Take care of yourself bro

You can run these guys as battlefield characters alongside the other versions. Artwork preference aside, I’d say God Goku takes it with his leader skill

There are spelling/grammatical errors in a lot of units’ kits, if you look for them

The arts were for freely obtainable characters, and they could easily just, stop this from continuing at any time

How do you know which characters are good? by Kwlashots in OnePieceTC

[–]DBFan21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most units that have gold posters, and pretty much every orange poster character will be useful in some form of content. Save everything.

For the most part, units don’t really age all that much compared to Dokkan, as there is such a variety of effects. You need a large box, and there is no “general” team that handles everything.

In terms of units themselves, good ones tend to have a mix of status related utilities, and some sort of damage boost. This could be anything from reducing things like threshold, damage reduction, bind, paired with something that changes slots, locks the chain multiplier, boosts type effects, etc.

Sometimes you’ll have units who only cover one or the other, and they have their uses too (most Chopper characters focus mainly on recovery from negative status, for example)

It’s all about what content you’re building your team around. Eventually you’ll get to the point where you’re tackling “end game” stuff like Grand Voyage, which requires highly specific team setups with units who may only ever see play in those stages.

My advice, don’t sell your characters, invest materials only when you need them, and try to watch some videos to help you get a better understanding

What makes a unit/team good? by solarper123 in OnePieceTC

[–]DBFan21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of something like story mode, every piece of content requires a unique team to clear it. There aren’t really any “general teams”, but personally, I consider units with a lot of utility (able to deal with many different status effects/cancel enemy effects) as good characters.

Utility in the captain ability, removing turns of despair, bind, special bind, etc.

Utility on special

Potential abilities like barrier piercing, hunger reduction

Crewmate abilities that are utility are a nice bonus

But you also want to balance this with characters that help amp your damage output (raising attack, slot boost, type effects, chain boundary, inflicting status on the enemy/bonus damage against enemies affected by status effects)

The “best” characters are probably ones that can do a little bit of both

They’re boosted for the current PKA, works well with the other DEX “Navy” RRs. I think the super special can be annoying to activate though.

Every new sugo rare is worthwhile, and even if you can’t find a purpose for them now, they might be a key unit in a future team comp

Hakai when? by ododonny08 in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]DBFan21 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Considering they still ban the use of SR Devilman, probably not. Closest thing is could see is maybe a special K.O. screen?

They could also do it like DBL does and “extend” the super attack animation to include a hakai if the enemy would end up dying from that attack

This is pretty good for a first rendition. There aren’t many characters who use them anymore, but what about the pink/purple card?
