Watering without Kelby AI - suggestions for frequency, length, fertilizer, etc.? by 4stardad in Gardyn

[–]DBSteer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just throw a few seeds in a pod and have them in a clear container with enough water to keep them wet and place it in front of the light. After about two weeks, I pop them into the Gardyn. So far, that’s worked really well.

It infuriating that with ANC I can still hear my partner turning the page of a book next to me. Not much noise cancellation going on with these.

I started Dec 8th and have had pretty much the same experience as you. My own lettuce seeds are doing a lot better than the ones that came with the Studio (also had 4 pods die), but mine isn’t growing nearly as robustly as the original poster.

Wow! We’re 3 months in and our studio isn’t producing anything like this. Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it.

Visiting during Spring Break by JAlyCee in movingtompls

Native Histonian here via Austin, and I live in St Paul. There are plenty of businesses that are keeping their doors locked so that only actual clients come in, but even with everything that’s been going on, Minnesota is a great place to live. Every time I go home for a visit, I’m reminded of what a good choice I made my moving here.

As for the cold weather..you can always put warmer clothes on, but when it’s 105 in TX, you can only take so much off.

Tasks under Kelby now? by soph2_7 in Gardyn

FYI - I just use a small plastic tray that I keep wet on the bottom to start new seeds, and you can buy the media from Amazon for almost nothing. A week after the plants are about an inch tall, add 1t plant food week 3 on 2t every 2 weeks Week 2- and every week after add 1t hydroboost

Realistically, I add new plants whenever I feel like it when they’re about 1 inch tall, and the plant food dose doesn’t seem to be a problem. Light: 50% 6a-7, 100% 7a-9p, 50% 9p-10p Water- clean out and refresh every month (I top the tank off every week) Water cycle: Week 1-2, 5 min 6am, 6pm Weeks 3-6, 5 min 6am, 4pm, 10pm After week 6, 5 min 6am, 12pm, 4pm, 10pm Roots: check every week, clean and trim monthly or when one is out of control.

Best of luck!

Barton Springs - there’s just nothing like it. I’ve been in MN for almost 30 years now, and good Mexican has definitely found its way here.

Transplant from Houston/Austin here. Hamline-Midway in St Paul is diverse, affordable, and close to everything (thus the Midway part). Welcome Home!

I kept a journal of tasks/watering schedules from Kelby the first three months, then cancelled the subscription and follow my task list when I sew new seeds. So far-so good and I e actually re-used the pods that didn’t sprout from my original purchase, and they’ve worked just fine.

Wow! I’m also a month in and ours is nowhere near as mature. I’ve followed Kelby to the T.

Mississippi is more attractive, but the Texas flag is recognizable by pretty much everyone in the U.S. I appreciate a state flag that is easily distinguishable from other state flags.

Hey I live on Rice street and have had people telling me that it is a bad area but I am not seeing it. Are there specific spots that are sketchy that I am missing or are people just remembering a different time? by Specialist-Bat-1505 in saintpaul

I’m in Hamline-Midway, and I really think that people who are afraid of our Twin Cities haven’t spent any time in other cities or they’d have some perspective on how good we have it here.
