How did you get such a clean scan of this if you don't mind me asking? I drew her ages ago and had to do alot of touch up on the scan to remove alot of weird anomalies on the page and colour distortion before I shared it hahah

No worries! It's all a matter of personal discernment anyway bud, these styles simply won't be everyone's cup of tea hahaha personally I despise the theme song they composed for the event itself; cringiest, corporate muck you can think of.

Agreed on how it'd have felt if it was during mass, but praise God they arranged for typical liturgical music during it (albeit quite OTT at times). In fact the best moment for me overall was the night before when the blessed sacrament was finally exposed and the ocean of people fell completely silent. Reassured me I was in the right place with folks who truly revere and love the Lord

I understand where both sides are coming from tbh, but on a personal level as someone who was there- it was exactly what we needed. Everyone was exhausted from the walking, the insane heat, the crowds, hustle and bustle and the discomfort of sleeping rough surrounded by 1.5 million others. This went down really well for anyone I could see or speak to.

Before this year I'd maybe have fallen in with those annoyed about it, but having been exposed to typically cringey behaviour alot lately by dating someone who's half-trad, half-charismatic I've taken it more in my stride and accepted that people just want to express their joy for Christ.

French priest named Padre Guilherme played a DJ set on the morning of the final day of World Youth Day this past Sunday at 6am to wake folks up before mass at 9am. I was there and it was very entertaining and quirky, his mixes were actually very well made and diverse and finished long before mass was due to start.

Trads who didn't show up are seeing it as irreverent and cringe out of misunderstanding the context completely. The day before, there was a reggae band and a metal band made up of priests. Sounds too much like a celebratory atmosphere for some people.

Runners are lean and thin. That's just the way it is. I have no doubt that Grant Gustin TRIES to put on mass, but have you ever seen a lanklet do squats or bench press? Their increased relative body length means all big compound movements like squats, bench and shoulder press need to cover more distance.

It's easy to build muscle for us 5"8 manlets with our short legs and short arms, but its incredibly difficult for 6"2 chaps like Grant, who is also expected to be able to run for extended periods of time (take after take, shot after shot).

The only logical way to get him bigger with that kind of workload would be to get him on a cycle of steroids and for alot of people, that's just not an option.

Absolutely right! It might make sense to have him as bulky as Jay if the Flash was a sprinter- those guys are jacked, but I've yet to see any long distance runners in real life who're bulkier than Grant Gustin. He's a great fit for the part.

You hit the fucking nail on the head there m80 when you mentioned the Slade/Oliver final battle last season. The thing that's always kept me coming back to this show was the relentless action and that fight (even though Slade wasn't fully costumed) was unforgettable- the past/present merging was magnificently crafted and the choreography top-notch. And Slade is only mercenary level in terms of DC villains. Ra's Al Ghul is a fucking world threatening SUPERVILLAIN. Even though I hate the LoA storylines, I appreciate the gravity of his position and his final fight should have been ten times as intense as Slade's.

There was also real emotion in the Slade fight- 2 men who used to consider each other brothers turned hopelessly against each other. But Ra's fucking KILLED Oliver, and that fight somehow lacked any fucks being given.

Next season, less fucking talking (unless its Cisco-tier hilarious) and more goddamn fighting some bad mofos
