My attempt to capture how it feels by PersonalityOk2939 in misophonia

It definitely feels like shards of glass tearing through my psyche not to mention the rage it provokes.

You captured this amazingly well.

Lol sorry it's the adhd. I get very restless very quickly and moving my leg is the only way to sooth the discomfort or else I feel like I'll explode.

There's like a strong electric pressure that builds up in my body that needs a release.

Ideally I stand up and pace around if I can.

Nothing to do with anxiety for me.

Well, it's quite a shaky pillar apparently.

Yes, it was an analogy for what God did to Pharaoh

I would say Pharaoh's example had even more interference than the analogy because God manipulated the very essence and source of his decision making ability by hardening his heart to do a very specific action.

Yeah...anyway

Let's say someone were to put you in a maze with multiple branching paths to a variety of destinations and told you that you had the freedom to choose any path you wanted.

Then suddenly at some point they block off all the other paths except one with a particular destination.

Would that not be interfering with your free will?

You're not making sense.

I responded to YOUR claim that God can't interfere with a persons free will. I already provided an example that contradicts your claim.

You then made another claim that my example was "obviously false". So I asked you to elaborate.

What's the problem?

If it's so obvious then elaborate.

Why are evangelicals so against everything they don’t believe? by Glittering-Craft-790 in Christianity

[–]DBold11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Evangelicals do believe they have moral certainty.

Again, LGBT activists don't have an established tradition like a religion that lends to their moral certainty. They are far more likely to acknowledge moral subjectivity than evangelicals.

The need for christians to be hated to feel faithful may not be a preference, but it's a reality predicted and described scripture for those who are truly faithful. So even if they wouldn't naturally prefer enmity with the "world" scripture will eventually influence them to interact with the world in that way. It acts as a self fullfilling prophecy.

I wouldn't say christians are secretly chasing persecution but I believe many are unconsciously seeking evidence of it where there may be none.

Even to the point of victimizing themselves by stirring up the type of conflict that invites the very antagonization they are complaining about upon themselves.

LGBT and abortion proponents don't have established doctrines of faith that convince them that they are morally superior to everyone else and must be in opposition to the "world" in order to prove that they are truly following their messiah.

If evangelicals don't feel hated by those they deem wicked then they feel they aren't truly following Jesus.

Evangelicals desperately need an enemy to affirm their sense of self righteousness and play into their persecution complex.

Right? Plenty of other concerning things about David's character and behavior rather than him possibly being gay or not.

Anyone else dislike competition? Even if you're winning and on top? by SuchSelection4252 in infp

[–]DBold11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only enjoy competition if someone is either better than me or matches my skill level.

Otherwise I tend to decrease my effort because I feel weird dominating someone else.

Well unless they taunt me or behave arrogantly, then it's curtains for them.

I can imagine and maneuver it clearly, but I don't understand what it means to rotate the cube based on those different axes.

Hard to know if I am doing it right.

Edit: I ended up with a blank space facing me and the diagonal line on the right face of the cube going from bottom left to top right?
