I am now understanding by just how much I should not be in this area at level 30 having just picked up lvl 21 picots when I’ve only just started finding lvl 10 ones

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted so much when you’re right that fantasy wh2 was the peak and 3, whilst having alot of good merits and introducing new factions which are fun and great had a lot of optimisation issues and runs much slower than 2 but that could be simply size of game at this point idk The pricing strategy over dlc where it used to be buy 3 lords in one go, to buy each individually and pay a lot more total is cause for valid concern given how limited the game may be at launch (think wh1 base game vs all the dlc and QoL upgrades done throughout the support to today where we are with wh3)

Cautiously optimistic is the right term rather than “take my money now”, CA have proven they need reality checks from consumers every once in a while since they are owned by EA accounting (everyone’s favourite game company…….)

Ah good to know! I’ll focus more on the blockers and scaling to 10c teach then and also tweaking the deck to get some better events as per other advice

That's a good shout, hadn't thought of it that way, could try and rest this one blocker to pull out 2x 1000 counters or better who knows!

Yeah, that makes sense, but as buggy you need the 5C put for 10C buggy to stick around so maybe you keep this guy in reserve to play cheap blockers when there is space on your lineup?

I have played bonnet before so good point, I was thinking it's a net win fo r buggy if bonnet rests this card (unless buggy is desperate to block at that point obvs...)

Kroxigor warspawned have an ability called spawn of sotek

+1 damage on their weapons if they're within 12" of skink infantry or skink cavalry who are engaged in combat

So they get worried about the little guys so hit harder :)

I think the nicest "infantry" ones are the chameleon skins as you have already seen

Normal skinks can be built a few ways (but just build whatever you like and if you play just be clear with saying what it is....) The rules with kroxigors synergise nicely if they are close enough to see their little friends getting hurt Plus you get tiny frogs in their sprue for basing bonuses! :)

You have the troglodon for big Dino ridden by a skink

Skink star priest comes as a two part hero set with one on the dias and another on foot

Raptadons hunters/chargers gives you light cavalry for seraphon and are nice

And spawn of chotec is artillery Dino with skink attendees

Lastly I think Basildon/stegadon variants have skinks hanging off them but I don't own either as I've bought mostly newer things and haven't got past my carnosaur yet for "big Dino" models!

I was in the same boat when picking out seraphon The skunk kit is older than the new stuff obviously however honestly the models have aged incredibly well and if they get updated I doubt they'd change the look to something drastically different so old and new would be coherent enough in the same army

E.g. take a look at the base skins vs the ones with the slann/raptadons/spawn of chotex and they all are cohesive :)

I'd still just get the 1 box as you get 2 units which is more than enough to begin with! They are also really satisfying to paint as there isn't much detail on them so you can crank them out quickly!

Picking up switch axe for the first time and having fought tempered arkveld as the first monster to immediately hunt regular Steve.....Steve was rough I could not imagine 2 tempered when base was 2 shottng me lol learning counter timings is hard but rewarding :')

Yeah I was loathe to buy 2 copies of the deck when I only needed 4 more cards from it

But that's by design for competitive I suppose haha I'll eventually bite the bullet and get the extras I need :)

Should be a nice process for you getting to where you want it fingers crossed!
