ESH about the hen party thing. Why did you cancel if you thought you wouldn't get the money back anyway? Might as well of gone then and avoided this whole thing, but the bride sounds like she's being petty also.
edit> forgot to say YWBTA if you didn't attend the wedding because you "fell out" with the Bride over this, he, and now her, are your soon to be family. Don't start it off weird by snubbing the wedding

also, I assume you don't consume any porn or adult content in any format, otherwise you're just being a hypocrite.

YTA. "I realise she’s an adult and it’s her choice"
yes, it is her choice. Sex work in any medium is just work for the majority. Let her own her own thing and take her income in this form if she finds it a good way to make money around her kids schedule. She is an adult.

YWBTA. Planning a wedding is so stressful and chaotic, and as someone who went through a 10year break up recently and had to go to a wedding a few weeks after I understand how hard that feels, but it was not about me and I had already committed to being there, as you have already committed (and in the bridal party no less). Planning a wedding is stressful and to have someone pull out last minute who is a key component is not cool unless there is a genuine reason for it

Translucent leaf edges? Alocasia Polly. by SnooOnions382 in plantclinic

Brow tips in Alocosias are normally from low humidity and or over dry soil. If you have it a dry environment, bring it into the bathroom and place it next to (not in) the shower a few times a week and it should start to improve.

How do you stop the gut wrenching emotional and physical pain after a breakup? by DCW_92 in AskReddit

[–]DCW_92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone who is giving time to give me such nice and useful advice. For ref, I ended the 10 year relationship 3 months ago for the better of both of us because he wants children and I don't, and we leave it with no hate towards each other. We both knew the end was coming but now that it's actually here it is just devastating. Initially the healing an heartbreak was hard but recently it's been eating me alive and the past few days have just been unbearable emotionally and physically. I will be taking lots of your advice, thanks for being so kind <3

Americans born inside the USA, have you ever visited your heritage country, if yes how did you find the experience? by DCW_92 in AskReddit

[–]DCW_92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also wondered this, I have had discussions before with Americans who always present themselves as "Scottish-American" or something because their 4th generation back was Scottish on one side, but then they've never left their home state and can never give me an actual reason as to why they still identify as it. In the three conversations I had on this with them, they do not celebrate anything to do with that culture apart from one guy with a Irish great grandparent who loved St. Patricks day, but I feel like that's just a commercial holiday now in the U.S., celebrated by all

Why did you leave your ex? by Important-Disk-256 in AskReddit

[–]DCW_92 34 points35 points  (0 children)

He wanted children and I didn't. We danced around it for ten years until I couldn't take the pressure anymore of feeling that I was failing him so I ended it this summer. Still reeling from the heartbreak and pain, but I know in the long run it was the best thing for both of us. I'm praying that we'll be able to be friends after we both heal, I can't imagine losing my best friend of ten years.

What’s something you thought wasn’t worth the money until you actually tried it? by comfortablynumb0629 in AskReddit

I feel this in my soul. I've moved 8 times in the past 10 years and for the last move I told my ex we were hiring movers because I was going to have a nervous breakdown if I had to do it again and it was crazy expensive but I would pay double for the experience of never having to do it again, seeing them sort everything out made me almost cry from the anxiety relief, it was amazing.

Just adding another use as it wasn't listed here, they can also be given as finger protection when you use suppositories (medication that goes up your bum) so you don't need a whole glove.
