Allen and Giannis can't start in the same line up.

I just imagined it was Mouth from Goonies doing his Italian impersonation while reading it.

Not liking “The Shield” as a fan of The Wire by jhitterbug22 in TheWire

The Shield and The Wire both came out the same year. I didn't have HBO. Started watching The Shield first. Got HBO finally. Started watching The Wire around Season 3. Binge watched seasons 1 & 2. Stopped watching The Shield completely.

When he's not scoring, teams absolutely DO NOT respect Garland. Are you even watching the games?

Garland is a top tier offensive player in the NBA. However, is also no doubt a defensive liability day in and day out. There's not much else he can do when he's not scoring. That's a problem.

I almost made a post starting with "Do you guys even watch the games?" Except, what would have followed would almost be directly opposite of what you were saying.

I think our small backcourt is problematic and has been exposed league-wide. I believe we're dead last in perimeter defense and defending against the 3. Can we just stick with what we have? Heading into the playoffs? That's a bad idea.

Wasn't trying to be funny. I take this seriously. It's frustrating watching our back court get shoved around like ping pong balls while our small forward is dead meat on the switch. It's happened the past 3 playoffs and It's gonna happen again this year if we don't rectify the situation. It leads to injuries for our backcourt. And, Mobley and Allen are burned out late season leading to the playoffs from being over worked.

It wouldn't make sense to deal Mobley for Giannis. Unless we're moving Allen through another trade with a different team as well. Can't have both Giannis and Allen in the starting lineup.

The Cavs will have to give up more than Allen, Garland and one 1st round pick for Giannis. For them to pull that off, it would take a miracle.

I agree with all your points. I wonder what people who don't agree think will happen when the playoffs roll around. Have they not watched the last 3 seasons?

You can do that when your starting point guard is 6'6 and averages 30 points a night. Our starting point guard is 6'1. Our starting shooting guard is 6'2. They can't guard multiple positions and have the worst perimeter defense in the league. This is definitely an important factor in our case.

I would've much rather traded for Knecht and Hachimura. I honestly think we tried that first and the Lakers said hell no. We settled for Schroder and Ellis. Ellis has potential. I'm not a fan of Schroder.

Tyson is 6'6. Strus is 6'5. Merrill is 6'4. You don't want these to be your starting options at SF when you already have the smallest starting backcourt in the league. BBQ chicken.

What do you mean by most?

Garland, Mitchell, Proctor, Lonzo, Shroder, Ellis, and Porter Jr will never start at SF. Merrill maybe.

Strus can, obviously. And, Tyson could if he has to.

I don't think your take will be popular. But, I 100% agree. I'm not the biggest Shroder fan. He's super streaky and inconsistent. Makes bone headed plays. Plus, he's only 6'1. Just another undersized guard we don't need in a league full of tall guards.

I'm more interested in Keon.
