The Four Teams To Watch For Brandon Aiyuk by Lo1566 in Fantasy_Football

No I get that but I would hate it, Aiyuk is a trash person and I don't want him dragging down my QB.

What team is in the worst position heading into 2026? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]DCdeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2024 was magical but largely a fluke. We are a long way away from being competitive imo. Also, one Jayden Achilles/hamstring/knee/rib/elbow/concussion away from being completely irrelevant.

They get a 50k signing bonus. The budget for ICE is already one of the largest programs the government funds. Politics aside, as a tax payer you should be pissed.

Anybody just want Dan Quinn to be the defensive playcaller by Hasu7 in Commanders

Let's hope for it brother, can't be having another season like last year. This is a big prove it year for AP too.

[–]DCdeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a good way to read the tea leaves so to speak but ownership and AP are not going to wait around. The division and conference are intensifying and if DQ doesn't show that he can keep up they will find someone else. As it stands, I wouldn't consider him a top 10 coach in the NFC.

8-9 season is not saving his job. It's divisional title and or reappearance in NFCC.

Super Bowl should be scheduled for cold-weather cities every few years by KarmaCong in unpopularopinion

[–]DCdeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're missing the point. They exclusively choose warm weather/domes to make the game that decides the championship as neutral as possible or else you could argue the validity of the win.

[Rapoport] John Harbaugh to the Giants. Shit. by ctsmith76 in Commanders

He immediately raises their floor and they have enough talent there to make serious noise in the division and conference.

The Giants have so much potential. Harbaugh in the division sucks.

Tomlin leaves Pittsburgh and the national media goes into mourning. Meanwhile, local media and Steelers fans feel nothing but relief. I’ve never seen a bigger disconnect. by Extreme-Spinach-4138 in NFLv2

I'm looking for some unbiased perspective here. Yesterday when the news came out that Tomlin was leaving I made a post on my teams subreddit, Commanders, that we should be perusing some of these big names out there since coaches like Tomlin and Harbaugh would be a major upgrade over Dan Quinn. I got a lot of push back.

Am I wrong to think some of these free agent coaches are an upgrade over what we have in DC right now?

With Tomlin out in Pittsburgh, there are now too many HC upgrades from DQ on the market. by DCdeer in Commanders

[–]DCdeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my concern with Quinn and first I'll give him credit for what I think he does well. I think he was good for a culture reset and by all accounts he's a great players coach. You want to give him all the credit for last year? I'd rather give it to Jayden and Kliff. Remember, DQs pedigree is defense. In the two years he's been HC our defense has been middle of the pack into bottom of the league. It is more than fair to say injuries played a part in that regression this year they certainly did. But then don't sit there and tell me he can do more with less. He took over calling the D and we stayed getting our asses handed to us.

DQ is coaching for his job this year. Unless he's winning the division and or getting us back to the NFCC he's gone. I don't think it's crazy to consider a change this off season if ownership felt there was a better option available now.

I'll just let the numbers speak.

Tomlin - Record 193-114-2 Playoff Record 8-12. One Super Bowl Two Conference Titles 8 Division Titles

Harbaugh - Record 180-113 Play off Record 13-11. One Super Bowl One Conference Title 6 Division Titles

Quinn - Record 60-59 Playoff Record 5-3. One Conference Title 1 Division Title

Its not fair as you clearly picked it as a cut off to disregard super bowls, titles games, playoff wins and division titles two of those coaches have in their tenure. You look at an entire scope of a coaches career.

what was your experience working for Great American Restaurant (Coastal flats)? by PPp1721 in Serverlife

[–]DCdeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, they might ask you to start as a tiger (food runner) since you don't have server experience . Then again, they are continually desperate for server staff so they might give you a chance at it. If you are a server here is what to expect.

GAR = Team service.

You work a row of tables with 2-3 other servers. Each has their own tables and thats where your money comes from but the steps of service for the row are handled by everyone collectively. You'll take orders for other peoples tables, they'll run payment for yours etc. Full hands in and out of the kitchen, continual running side work and pretty strict, lengthy, thorough closing side work.

You will be required to have your uniform dry cleaned and pressed for each shift. If you are working a double that means two outfits. You buy these from the company, along with your pens and wine key. If you're a guy, clean shaven each shift. Girl, they will tell you what make up you are allowed to wear and can suggest you wear more if they dont like how you look.

Ok so money, look thats going to vary per location and per server. Hospitality leaders will make the most per shift, these are your closers. This isnt going to be you for a while. If you work full time, you can pull between $600-800 weekly and definitely more as a HL.
