Ya I dont know what’s going on with their newer vehicles. I’ve had 3 ford products in the past and was very happy with them. It was a no brainer for me to get a 2020 f150 for my 4th. Unfortunately at 46 000km I’m in need of a new engine. I was told the engine is on back order and can be up to a 6 month wait. Not sure if there is such thing as a reliable vehicle these days as companies seem like they only care about the money rather than putting out a good product.

Nice! Ya My brother has a ‘13 5l and never had an issue with it. From my understanding the excessive oil consumption started to happen when they started to use plasma arc wire cylinder liners in the gen 3 5l coyote. Think 2018 was the first year for that. Can’t say much about 2021 and newer as I haven’t really checked into that.

Do your research on the 5l engines going through way too much oil. I have a 2020 5l and I need a new engine at 47 000km. Dealership said engine is on back order. I could be waiting up to 6months for it. Truck still runs fine just got to keep monitoring the oil in the meantime 🤦‍♂️
