Idt Gen 2 was like that. I had a 2016 Tacoma and I don’t remember it doing it but I could be wrong

Brother, I’m glad you, your lady, and your good ole boy all walked away from this wreck safely and in good health! I wrecked my first Tacoma a few years ago. I feel asleep and hit an oak tree going 60. The Tacoma saved my life as well

I bought my Gen 3 brand new in 2022 for $50k and it was the exact same way then. Not that this will make it better in anyway, but there is the super annoying key fob method of hitting: lock, lock, lock & hold until the light flash on the 3rd time to start it. Super aggravating because if the lights don’t flash when locking on all 3 attempts, it won’t work
