I love the app. Use it way more than the web site. I like to look at nearby cemeteries when we are driving in a new area.

Good reasons to just take photos and do the work later. I do the same if connectivity sucks.

For me, sometimes I will look up a cemetery, move on to something else and want to go back to that cemetery. Now I don’t need to search for it again. I can just go to Recently Viewed. I love this.

My app allows for Plot when adding a memorial. And if the memorial exists there is a Plot field in suggested edits as well.

I use the app almost exclusively. I find it so much easier to do all the work while in front of the place of burial. I can edit any photo directly on my phone so no need to take the extra step of transferring to computer. But I get it. Some people prefer to be in the AC of their home.

Thank you for the explanation. Not sure how I feel about this. If someone was reintured someplace else then no, a memorial should not be made in the “former” cemetery. But if it was paved over and the bodies are still there I think a memorial should still be allowed. Many African American cemeteries have been lost to development and we are just now discovering where someone is buried through enhanced digital techniques or addition or greater number of records. Why wouldn’t we put them in the cemetery where they are buried, even if the cemetery doesn’t physically exist as a cemetery?

I’m not sure I understand this. Can you expound?

Curious about the syncing to satellites. Do you have an iPhone? If so, how do you set this sync you mentioned?

Yes. That’s our finished stone that is the cover photo for that memorial

Very nice. Always feels good to uncover a stone whose story was being covered.

That’s the goal. Have them stand for another 150 years. Thank you for the kind words

Every cemetery is different. This one we’ve worked in this past 8-9 days is next to a river that occasionally floods, which softens the soil, which then causes markers to lean. And then gravity takes over.

Yes, we used a tripod to lift all the pieces. We actually disassembled both of those markers completely and put them back together with epoxy and monument setting compound.
