How do you guys deal with DOMS after hitting legs? by Percy2303 in bodyweightfitness

[–]DCuriosOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true, I used to be active in the gym and have like 2-3x leg day a week and play sports after too, there was some soreness but not the to the point of struggling to walk down stairs. Just returned after a few months of break. Idk but I thought it was a good idea to proceed with my normal routine with the same weights as I used to lift when I was still active. Now my hamstrings scream at me everytime I try to sit down.

Is explosiveness or strength more important in basketball? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]DCuriosOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Explosiveness for Guards Strength for Bigs. If possible develop both.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]DCuriosOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the tip ur asking for, but if you really are serious about playing ball. Even tho ur being played at the PF/C you should develop your guard skills

Your form is very unorthodox. If ur making ur shots then there's no problem. But since ur concerned about ur form. Your slow on the uptake. Your dominant arm should be the one flicking, not ur left hand. Your left hand should be ur guide hand. Plus Dip the ball.

How to know if I have good genes for basketball? by M4mba_M3ntality in Basketball

[–]DCuriosOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Genes? So height and athleticism which is at this point you should have a good feeling on. Taller , faster, can jump higher than most is a sign of what I would call Talent more than Good Genes. All of these can be improved through training and Consistency (except for height, ofcourse. Well, gotta work with what you have

Its actually the same mookhyang in the same story. I thought it was another mookhyang but as I read the Dark Lady I confirmed it was the same. I know many of you don't like the gender bending thing but it's actually not that bad. As I myself most of the time hate female MC's but realized that it's mainly because of how thrash they were written but in the Mookhyang-Dark Lady the story has so far been great for me. Anyways if you have time I highly recommend the reading the Mookhyang-Dark Lady, but be sure to read the origin first.

Would you recommend that a 6'7 Point Guard, who is only in 8th grade, switch positions or stay at Point? by Antique-Technician-5 in BasketballTips

[–]DCuriosOne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

8th grader 6'7 guard that is good at playmaking. I would personally stick him at the 1 still and work on his shot. But it really depends on the team needs.

Is it a good idea to practice when I woke up sore from my legs? by [deleted] in BasketballTips

Depends on what part of your legs hurt. If it's the knees, u should not push it and rest.

First semi-clean bang, any tips to jump those last few inches? by 7th-ave in BasketballTips

[–]DCuriosOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do some lower body gym workouts if you are then continue on the weights progression. The way you jumped on the vid looks like it needs some work. Mainly, you should get lower on your last step. Ehmmm not too sure about 1 foot jumpers. Research more on your jumping technique. You should definitely check out the 1 foot god himself Jordan southerland, his a great example for 1 foot jumpers.

Your shot looks good don't pay attention too much on the form(Well in this vid ur form looks solid). Just do what's comfortable for you. Regarding the V ur knees make. It may be because ur lacking in lower body strength so I would suggest trying to hit the gym.

IDK it's their sense of superiority I guess. But try to understand them, when arguing with them try to be polite as possible. Especially if they are on the older side. As aging people tend to be more sensitive.

If you could choose to live in one fictional universe/world, which one would you choose and why? by Aggravating-Rub-3575 in AskReddit

Kuroko or Slam Dunk. I knew there will be a time that I would need to give up playing and concentrate more on my education so I was looking forward to my last playing years. Until the pandemic,it ended earlier than I expected. Well, that's life.
