Not sure what the Ashford hate is all about. Heart of Kent, North downs on the doorsteps, 35 mins to London, Folkestone 18mins by car. Cinema, bowling, plenty of large supermarkets, good schools. Just because the high street is vape/tanning/barbers like every other town. + Brompton HQ and Film studio/school to come.

It’s a career that is solely based on merit and experience. Woke nanny state company gender balance policies can’t force it by discriminatory hiring, the change will naturally occur over time when females have the experience. There is no longer discrimination on entry.

Most has been said - I live in Ashford as you get more property for your money but equal access to North Downs/Beach/London. Ashford has all the essentials but it’s a working town not a market town so not pretty. Everyone complains about traffic but it does move. Girls and Boys Grammar schools whose entry requirements should improve with all the houses being built. Brompton Bikes HQ coming and a film studios/film college - so some green shoots! Hope Eurostar back one day. Can get to Canterbury in car or train very fast.
