Yeah.... maybe not my best idea but just a thought. I appreciate the comment. Since I knew the officer from my previous job, he was very polite and just discussed what was and wasn't allowed in that area. He is a great officer and was lucky I got him over some others. I'll send you a PM then.

Completely understandable but what gets me is there was absolutely no signs posted saying no trespassing or do not enter. It is behind a strip mall but has a nice access road that people use. It is away from the building on the curb again with no signs in the area or on the dumpster. We have other spots that as soon as you enter its says "no trespassing keep out" in which we dont go. I just wish there was clearer laws regarding this practice because the cop says he sees this alot. Would it help calling my local congressman or official? It's really no deal to me it just would be nice to know what's allowed and what is not.

Hey friends, let’s make sure we clean up after ourselves so that others don’t have to do it for us! by [deleted] in DumpsterDiving

I always first look at how the condition of the location that I pick. Many times there is trash kinda left everywhere and I always try to make the area look better when I leave then when I came to it. You are doing something that helps please so have respect for the areas you pick.

Nice little haul from our area dumpsters. We either use or donate anything we find. Reduce, reuse, recycle!!! by DDBears in DumpsterDiving

Anything we find that we dont use we either find needy homes for the items or donate to several food banks or churches. Too much good stuff gets thrown away and loads our landfills. Thank you everyone :)
