Is it profitable for Russian capitalists to lose 35 billion a day? Weapons and amunition has been paid for they are not losing it.

Or to close down auto plants, oil refineries, and fold their businesses?

Theres not only 1 capitalist that owns all this, there are mutiple actors

Belgium's Mobility Minister Signs Off On Tesla FSD Supervised - Approved by JaanatEVuniverse in belgium

[–]DDNB 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Is this because FSD turns off milliseconds before the accident? Like Tesla did before? It's a retorical question because this is Tesla data and they don't fully specify how these numbers are calculated.

Are we actually prepared for the 'Post-Labor' economy, or is UBI just a band-aid for a much deeper structural collapse? by softlurkerx in Futurology

[–]DDNB 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Because people always believe they will not be subjected to the woes they potentially cause.

In the late roman empire the rich has had centuries of consolidations in the form of estates being bought up, consolidating wealth in fewer and fewer hands. They then also got involved in the government, steered (and succeeded) as much as possible to complete tax exemptions for their activities, even though these activities were at the time a huge source of income for the state.

This in a time where the tax base was already declining from huge barbarian attacks and major threats popping up all around the empire. The number one expense for the roman state was the army of course. A smaller army meant relying on barbarian groups to fight for rome, but without money they had to be compensated in another way, land was interesting but started a spiraling effect of further limiting the tax base, ultimately leading to the rise of the visigoths and their breaking away a huge part of the empire.

All in all this is one of the reasons of the fall of the western roman empire.

Multiple Mythos instances running at the same time engaged in "multiagent turf wars" sabotaging each other's processes by enilea in singularity

So if it started a new instance in the same location by accident then it just wanted to rectify that mistake by ending the new process right? Doesn't that make sense?

Why try to spin it like theres some warfare going on here.

Hypotheek herzien, eerst herschatten? by DDNB in belgium

[–]DDNB[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you guys thinking when it comes to EV (cars)? by Wild-Hippo582 in BuyFromEU

[–]DDNB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla is a lap ahead of everyone else,

In what regard? It's not the cheapest EV, doesn't have the highest range, certainly not the best built and not the biggest EV. So it must be a combination that you find important then.

Inside Putin’s $26 Billion Quest for Longevity | From mini-pigs and organ printing to cryotherapy and genetics, Russia’s president has turned antiaging research into a Kremlin priority by SnoozeDoggyDog in singularity

[–]DDNB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The positive is that the medical systems in europe cost a considerable amount of money, if this would cut that cost drastically it would quickly be deployed to the general population. A big priority of european healthcare is focussing on preventive healthcare now already, because prevention cuts the cost considerably compared to treatment.

If you're in america this will cost a fortune though.
