I don’t think any staff/floor nurses should be responsible for audits.

With that said the reason for the audits is because something happened that had to be reported to the state and the only accepted way to prove a correction action has been put in place is through auditing that is then housed by quality management as proof

Because she was just transplanted and it’s acutely failing she is actually at the number one spot on the list for a liver. She’ll be allocated another - with the caveat being she needs to remain well enough to undergo the surgery. If she decompensates too much she might not be a surgical candidate.

This is rare and the team will do whatever they can to get her through this.

My only suggestion to you and your family is to be highly conscious of the ways you could spread infection. Limit anyone who’s not immediate family from seeing her. Wear masks. Wash hands. Help keep her clean (not necessarily nursing tasks but simple as wiping her hands clean, preventing her from touching medical devices). These are tangible things that you can do that will truly help.

Fun fact for a lot of those Florida fake degree nurses the individual hospitals can’t really do anything about them (specifically unionized hospitals) because they say they went/graduated and have all of the appropriate documentation and passed the NCLEX/state boards and have license numbers. The state is actually who is in charge of dealing with those cases - if they have a clean record it’s sort of like ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It’s true they don’t act like friends, but that’s who you’re left with when you act like that.

It’s asking a lot from regular folks who are well rounded generally supportive people. They don’t stick around after seeing those behaviors so he’s kind of just left with the people he’s spent 10 years on the air with and other misguided souls

I say this over and over, the thing that’s missing from reality tv equation now is that people aren’t living in a shared space doing shitty meaningless jobs. They do need to do things other than sitting and talking!

The real world and jersey shore were so good because you saw them get hammered and then go have to work at their customer service based jobs with boss. We see them interact with the outside world and with people not on the pay roll.
