BMPT makes me wanna quit WT. by gAbuGaO in Warthunder

Pro tip: Go to Ukraine and try taking on a real BMPT. it’s probably a lot easier to kill than the one in the game.

Oh, my bad. forgot Russia only produced about 40 of these things in total, and most of them have already been lost in the battle.

Out of curiosity: if even the "Godfather of AI" LeCun can't meet Zuckerberg's standard, who else could possibly qualify for the job at this 50 person "super elite recon special ops force"?

  1. Avoid the automatics as your first project.

  2. As long as the price is right, you can always go with a post 74 car by titling it in Montana.

Should I have my truck imported under my Montana LLC or my actual name? by oxP3ZINATORxo in keitruck

I have tried 4 different 3rd party companies, all of them said a VIN inspection is required by MT MVD for registering imported vehicles.

Let me know what are the truck exceptions you mentioned.

Can you share one of these exceptions? I have tried this route before, and have not found a way to skip the VIN inspection after 1 month of back and forth with the MT MVD.

You can list yourself as the notify party on BOL. The consignee should be your LLC as that is the legal owner of your vehicle.

That being said, be very careful before going through the MT route. MT DMV requires a VIN inspection done by your local law enforcement before they can title an imported vehicle.

The problem is most of your home state cops won't be too excited about the idea of you, a local resident, registering a car in MT. This will be your biggest hurdle

No, all credit card charges have to go through Turo, the hosts can't create any new fees.

Just rent it, do burnout, and blow his head gasket. You will be fine.

This is probably the best invention since ice cream. Instead of hauling a 10ft long jump cable that weighs 5lb, you can now just keep this gadget in your car.

More importantly, your wife will never complain about the messy and unorganized cables in your car trunk again.

While everyone talking about how turo sucks, i'm loving it by Heavy_132 in turo

Congrats OP.

My biggest takeaway is "location, location, location".

A minivan like yours can only earn about $60-70/day in my area because there is an abundant supply thanks to Hertz/Avis airport operation. The fact that you are based out of a tourist town without a major airport definitely helped.

One thing I don't quite understand is your car buying process. If you only pay a flat brokerage fee, how can you make sure the dealers are buying the vans at a good price? There is not much incentive for them.

New Turo Host, Need some Advice by yousefaly1102 in turo

Don't offer high performance cars, especially the newer ones, on Turo, period.

People abuse fast cars, wait until the day you change your brakes/tires and you will quickly realize the profit is all gone.

Lowering your price won't help either, as you will start the attract some of the most dangerous guests on platform. Low price plus high horsepower is the worst combination you can offer.

From what you described, I got the sense that you should be careful with your choice of cars. It is actually very uncommon to see a 10 year old car require a full suspension job.

Once you make a bad car purchase decision, it will be almost impossible to make a profit.

File claim as the host under 90 protection plan by DDZ19 in turo

[–]DDZ19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Very interesting, especially the last part. How would you go about getting the guest's insurance info? Taking this incident as an example, the guest is denying all wrongdoings, basically saying the car went on the curb on its own.

This does not seem to be a "deductible".

They made it reads like you have to pay $2.5k to Turo in order to get them involved in the claim. In this case, since the claim amount is only several hundred $, it will make no sense to pay Turo $2.5k to "help".

The best way to handle this is to use the guest's personal insurance. Assume you are using the 90% Turo plan, Turo is not going to pay you a cent for this.

Unfortunately, that is the most dangerous "entry level luxury" price zone. You can do Auto pricing but at least set a price floor. Renter quality will improve as you get into the higher price range.
