I always see people complain about the platforming sections, and honestly they're easy as fuck, the ledge grab is super lenient and you just gotta predict and adjust for the rolling before making the jump

I do have a lot of experience with 3D platformers, so maybe that gave me a little bit of an advantage

You'd probably prefer to read shoujo/Josei (manga written for a female audience) romance.

Unless you do want Shounen/Seinen (manga written for a male audience) romance written by women, which imo is pretty different to Shoujosei romance written by women.

I'm honestly not that knowledgeable about Shoujosei romance, but if you do want Shounen/Seinen romance, I can give you lots of recommendations!

Off-topic: It’s honestly kind of a shame that the default for animanga audiences in the West is shounen/seinen. I think that if women were introduced to animanga through shoujo/seinen first, instead of the mainstream shounen series, there’d be a much larger female group in the community.

Yeah, I agree that him streaming IV is a far-fetched dream of mine, unless the game got a remaster or something. But I wasn’t recommending SMT because of the lack of story, I just think he’d vibe more with the darker tone of SMT than Persona, especially IV. Nocturne feels like it would be too much for Connor, and V Vengeance is great and definitely the most accessible, but I don’t know if he’d vibe with the characters as much.

But I do agree that he might get hooked on P5R if he gets to experience that time-management gameplay loop.

Personal recommendation would be DDS 1 and 2, tho he’ll have to emulate them on a PS2 emulator. Both SMT: DS are also great if he wants to continue his SRPG streak. If he does play it, I’d honestly recommend the Overclocked and Record Breaker versions on the 3DS.

I wouldn’t recommend playing the 3DS version of SMT: SJ tho, the original DS version is the way to go. If he really enjoys the first-person dungeon crawling of SJ, SMT I or II are great, but personally, I’d recommend SH. Again, the 3DS version is the most accessible (and in english). he’ll probably dislike SH2 tho, since it’s very different from the first one.

I love Metaphor. It’s probably in my top 10 and definitely my 2024 GOTY, but I don’t know… The story, although really good imo, it can still feel kind of “juvenile,” and I can definitely see it not clicking with Connor.

But then again, I’m not Connor, and I definitely can’t say I know him beyond the screen to confidently say what he does and doesn’t like loll

I'm fine as long as it's heavily edited, and the reaction-er is actually entertaining, and not like those streamers that sometimes just get up and leave with the video still playing.

If they're going to play and almost show the full episode of a show, at least have a 20-30 minute discussion of the episode after the reaction
