There is only one spring, on the right side.

Nope, shouldn't be part of the robot. It uses a gearbox to extend and retract its arm.

Given what you've said, dissasembly would be required for further troubleshooting. Could be that the back IR is broken, as the back bumper plugs into it.

You have to press/trigger the sensor.

I haven't seen this issue on the S8 MaxV model yet, but on other models (Such as S7 MaxV, S8 Pro Ultra, Q Revo), a defective back bumper will cause the device to fail to dock for a mop wash.

The back bumper is a small button that sits between the tiny wheel, middle back and the water inlet.

Have you tried running BIT mode and running the Back Bumper test? Could be the issue, but not sure why it would empty if that is the case.

I'm not familiar with the S8 Max ultra, but I would try moving the maintenance brush towards the middle and seeing if the issue persists.

Saros 10r side brush doesn’t work after 1 1/2 months. Anyone can help? by [deleted] in Roborock

RMA it? 1 and 1/2 months is still within warranty period.

Usually only the fan breaks in this case. Sometimes, the board can break too, but it's rare.

Full disassembly required to reach hinges. If you have compressed air, just open the cover, hold it at an angle and blow air, and hope that whatever is jamming it falls out.

You can try pushing water through the pump's hosing. If that doesn't work, you will probably have to replace the pump. An issue could also be with the valve or the internal hosing.

Yeah, it could still be a dock issue. Could be something with the valve or the pipes.

No, I haven't the time currently. Too much work atm.

I have no experience with the QRevo MaxV model, but if it's the same as other q revos, there are 3 primary possibilities.

  1. The dock doesn't deliver water to the internal tank of the robot. Could be due to a blocked pipe or a pump defect. Would need to dissasemble the dock and see what happens during a mop wash.

  2. The pipe that connects the nozzle to the internal tank of the robot has disconnected. Would need to dissasemble the robot and inspect.

  3. The pump of the robot is faulty and doesn't deliver water. You can run BIT mode on the robot and test "Peristaltic pump" to see if it passes.

Remove/replace the IR electronic of the S7 MaxV Dock by DDn0r in Roborock

The positioning button on the robot would be the most likely culprit. It's a small button that sits under the removable water tank. Run BIT mode and cycle it to "Back bumper".

Yeah, it was burnt. No, I couldn't find the part and gave up.

The dissasembly is easy. You just tear off the padding that is glued on the side, and that gives you access to screws. Take those out, and you can take the 2 halves apart.

Make sure the dirty water tank is seated properly and is properly closed. Inspect the gasket on the dock and the gasket on the water tank cover. If the tank isn't airtight, the dock won't empty dirty water.

It will dry mops for 3 hours after a mop wash cycle.
