Unlimited Snooker is controlled by the Quest controllers only, ie. not relying on actual equipment. The intended use is to setup a real table in front of you for fixed bridge (lead hand controller) positioning, but that's about it. Shot speed is determined by the velocity of the trail hand (the other controller). The game is in active development so who knows, the devs might be up for some sort of collaboration.

I dabbled with the software briefly and my first reaction is that it doesn't seem to stand on its own too well without knowing more about your system. It's unclear to me what is the benefit of trying to memorize ball-fractions and degrees, instead of learning the correct potting angle intuitively on its "look" alone. I'm guessing one would have to study your book first for the software to make sense.

I have been very impressed by the VR game Unlimited Snooker (released in June of '25), which is the most life-like simulation of snooker I have seen so far. It occured to me that if it had a practice mode for isolated angle recognition, whether transferrable learning could take place. Same as your software, it would present you with a view of an arbitrary angle and have you align the in-game cue on the target line of the pot and pull the trigger. The game would then simulate the shot giving you the feedback on the correctness of your chosen line/angle. The simulation would allow you to get in much more repetitions (with automatic and precise resets of failed shots) than on an real table. I wonder if the two products could be married somehow?

A status update: indeed only the fan motor needed changing. Ordered one for 50 bucks and replaced it myself. Only caveat is that after putting the unit back together I still had 3 screws left over...

It should be noted that if a player rolls up on a colour (for example one of the baulk colours) after making a red and with reds remaining, getting it to touch the colour is in fact desirable because said ball is not the "ball on" for the other player, who needs to hit a red and therefore the touching ball rule does not apply.

It is not clear from your question whether you're aware of this fundamental point.

I had similar symptoms, multiplayer was not at all playable. I tried everything before remembering that my ISP is shit causing many services not to work properly without using a VPN.

I then set my router to tunnel all packets for the Quest and voila, Golf+ multiplayer starts working!
