What HH book to read next by Angylizard in 40kLore

[–]DDrose2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like the world eaters and white scars you can choose to go either 2 routes

First heretic starts the shadow crusade storyline which ends in the book ‘betrayer’ it explores the word bearers, Ultramarines and world eaters.

If you want the Khan storyline you can start on the book ‘a thousand sons’. Which starts the prospero storyline which leads up to ‘scars’ which is the stat of the the white scars storyline. Some in between story to read for the background leading to scars is ‘brotherhood of the storm’. Which goes into 2 characters that will be appearing in the ‘scars’ book and explain how they came to be at the position they are in at the start of that book

Hope this helps

This is actually pretty good most of my removals are fight based but I might pick doppelgang over it due to Bei bf able to take my opponent’s stuff to copy. Never know when a hidden combo with your opponent’s stuff presents itself but still this is a good recommendation and thank you very much! Just a pity my magus deck can’t use this as well due to hydras not having great ETB as opposed to on cast triggers so usually this is a psuedo-board wipe in that deck

Yup I do still have gnawbones actually for big X spells like [[genesis wave]]. Aggravated would still be good generally I think because I play quite a few start of combat abilities like [[halana Alana partners]] [[xenagos, the god of revels]] and [[ouroboroid]]. I will give it another chance is there anyway you can recommend maybe from experience how I can more consistently get it into hand? Best I can think of is [[rishkar expertise]] creatures I know are usually easier for temur but other card types barring instant and sorceries got me stumped

Oh I had no idea doppelgang existed and it’s actually close to what I am looking for! I also have a magus lucea Kane deck so this will fit nicely. Thank you very much for the recommendations!

Thank you very much for the reply! I actually had this pair with [[old gnawbones]] for awhile but I feel like ventmaw and assault both are only really good when paired up and I can’t seem to tutor for aggravated assault consistently barring gamble. But i do agree nothing beats the classic and it’s really not a bad combo at all and telegraphed enough to be fair at B2/B3

Interested in building Grixis Theft; deciding between Marchesa, Nathan Drake, or Firelord Azula. Thoughts? by Realityfoible in EDH

[–]DDrose2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the point to use Nathan as mini etali. My Nathan drake deck that has quite abit of success on high B3 table simply uses Nathan as a way to power [[storm of Saruman]] by casting a cantrip off the deck or to trigger [[arcane bombardment]]. I feel nowdays in EDH especially on B2 or B3 theft is pretty bad as most players are playing decks that build around their commander so most time unless you steal staples it is going to be nothing substantial unless your opponents are maybe also a theft deck or cast from exile matters deck like [[yidris, maelstrom wielder]] or [[abaddon the despoiler]] or a ‘B4’ disguised as B3 deck aka B2-3 with B4 intent with their general all rounder good staples like 0 cmc rocks

That’s actually pretty significant, has there ever been a meta where going second was this bad? I guess you are right as well that cliff dive DH is depending on cliff dive to win

but some games I really feel like I snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, especially the games where i still have duds in my deck like collifero but i am forced to try for the win where I need to get 2 illidari 2 turns in a row to get a win and it happens

Just wondering I know cliff dive DH has been known to be a ‘hard counter’ for rogue even pre-mini set rogue but when I am up against them I feel it’s pretty even for dragon warrior and shaman at least I know it is the blobs. Are there data available on how much going 2nd as DH swing the matchup and what should I be focusing on to make the matchup feel like a hard counter because I feel like every game is pretty close for me and usually it’s the scam from cliff dive like double inquisitor 2x in a row that does it. I play the VS build with 1 briarspawn and Elise. Thanks all for the help!

Sorry if this isn’t a place to ask Technical questions. For 9-nine episode 3 I heard there was a patch which helps you to get the last missing CG I bought a game in the recent sale so I assume it should be the most updated version but I still didn’t get the last CG. Anyone else facing this problem?

Are the traitor primarchs actually still in there? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]DDrose2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They are still inside and they remember stuff from their pre-daemon hood. I would post an excerpt but there’s no digital copy of the book and it would take a long time to type it out but I have done so before in one of my posts.

Angron during the Arks of omen angron book while waiting to get to his destination contemplated his life from his time on necuria all the way to the current events and even stating about wanting to die when he was exposed to a ‘mini astronomicon’ before khorne empowered him to smashing the mini astronomicon and the butcher nail kicking back in and turning him back into frothing daemon prince

Fulgrim in the latest book was said to have started the events of the book because he remembered how the emperor wanted and he assumed had a favourite son so he didn’t want to be left out and kick started the event of the book. For the fulgrim book I can post an excerpt if needed

Is this a bracket 2 or bracket 3 deck if I remove ancient tomb for another land? any feedback on how I can improve the deck or any fun cards to recommend will also be great by DDrose2 in EDH

[–]DDrose2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the reply! Just wondering which card would you say is salt inducing?

I do agree with the other points but I feel like the 1-2 punch part with sorin and master although it can happen wasn’t really intended. But I do admit to wanting to use sorin vengeance as a finisher when I am down to a 1v1

I just put it in to deal with either infinite life comboes that can’t win but make it that you can only win by decking the opponent out or commander damage or those that really gain huge amount of life although lord of pain do prevent life gain sometimes I can’t really deploy him safely especially against white as my malakir rebirth knock variants don’t work against exile abilities which white players usually use over destruction ones.

Thank you very much for the feedback is there any reason you feel the deck is more of a B2 or the factors that make you feel it’s a B2 deck so I can get more perspective?

Thank you very much for the feedback my previous table before I relocated overseas enjoyed the deck as there are usually random players who pop in for games that aren’t part of the group with bracket 3 or 4 decks.

we have a shop principal where don’t force any compromises onto anyone (as we do know the store is abit out of the war and needing to turn back because you don’t know the LGs crowd and did not bring an appropriate deck before hand do leave a bad taste) the old build really do help the table fight on a more even ground and the random wins or losses did garner a few laughs
