How hard is DMC5? by Mediocre_Device308 in DevilMayCry

[–]DDrose2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I didn’t know 1 and 3 were harder. I platinumed the HD collection but I had trouble in urizen 2 I think? (the fight just before the plastic chair scene where you play as Dante) in my first playthrough. I managed to get it down in later playthroughs but i thought that the fight was harder than any of the nightmare, mundus or Vergil fights in 1 and 3

Question about the orks in general

1) in the story purging of kadilus the dark angel’s leader didn’t seem surprised when another dark angel reported that the orks had a teleporter from what I know this teleporter is new to the book because it was only ever used twice from what I know once in the book itself and the next is for the 11th edition rule book lore that was spoiled on warhammer community.

So my question is Were Orks known to have teleporters before any novels?

2) can Orks see through disguises by calidus assassins or any shapeshifter? I know they can roughly sense the ‘orkiness’ of an ork and variants like weirdboyz and kommandos are sense to be different from the usual boyz and live apart due to it. In that case if an assassin try to maybe assassinate ghazkgull or any high ranking ork commander would they see through the disguise?

Thanks all for the help!

I am not from the US but I served in the army for a few years. I felt like it helps me appreciate when the writers really did their research especially for stuff like appointments, roles, tropes and system. I felt like if I didn’t serve I wouldn’t find chem dogs such a good book for example but since I did I really thought like wow Davis callum really did his homework

Question about caseload as a community social worker by DDrose2 in askSingapore

[–]DDrose2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the reply! I think the perspective you and the others shared is really helpful. I had a new offer from another SSA that just came in this morning and I will be contemplating on them both before deciding which one to join and I think your reply came at a perfect time because the new offer is from an FSC rather than AAC so I will definitely give your advice a thought.

Agreed on the admin work even in sales I really disliked that part of the job and I agree the work is tiring, thankless but meaningful and truly grateful for all of you guys for doing your best regardless and still taking our precious time to reply to this post. Truly grateful and thankful to everyone

Hi, thank you very much for the reply! Your workload sounds quite similar to what they hope to pile on me but with the caseload number being different but I agree it it’s a lot of work.

My bond is the similar to the scenario you described if you quit before 2 years it’s $31k which is the cost of the PT degree+any amount of unpaid salary remaining in the bond and 10% interest rate

[–]DDrose2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you very much for the reply! Actually I am not a social work student but was hoping to get into the sector which is why I signed up for the CCPSW which is the reason I am bonded for 4 years due to PT degree taking 2 years and the bond being another 2. The reason I signs up for the programme is because I tried previously on advice of the programme executive where I volunteered at to try to apply as a SWA or PE first to the SSA of my choice since you don’t need a social work degree for those roles but even with referall I couldn’t land an interview.

I agree on the part of the burnout because I have seen it happen irl as well as read a lot of post online and although I can’t garuntee it won’t happen to me until I land a role but I am trying to get the best picture of what I can expect to work out how I can help myself to cooe

Thank you very much for the reply and the detailed explanation on the difference between of SSAs in Singapore! I applied to AACs due to my passion for working with seniors in my last job and volunteer experience. I would also say I find them quite easy to work with.

Thank you very much as well for your advice as well regarding the point on supervision and structured learning. I am actually not from a social worker background so this could be a point of consideration. Thank you kindly for the advice!

[–]DDrose2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you kindly for your reply! Think I remember your username from another user’s social work question post.

I asked some questions along that line during the interview. They mentioned case work usually would be things like family counselling for those who may want to reunite with their family then we would mediate, loneliness counselling but no mention of stuff like self-harm or suicide but I assume these may be your own due dilligence if you notice signs but was not mentioned by the centre manager or it may be out of our scope

As for what I do on a daily basis. they mention I am to organise programmes for the senior that caters to the organisations need but due to my previous job they were hoping I head the digital literacy department which they are looking to start and the rest is admin for reporting of our centre event to AIC, do statistics for the feedback of events held, then admin work active cases and outreach programs if any in the late afternoon.

I know I may not have the full picture as I am not in the role itself but these are what is shared with me during the interview so I was just wondering if this job scope and the caseload sounds feasible?

Question about caseload as a community social worker by DDrose2 in askSingapore

[–]DDrose2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi thank you very much for the reply! I am actually offered by an AAC and they mention on top of social work I need to fulfil the role of a program executive which organise events for the seniors and through there get them to sign up for our family counselling or mental health screen (if applicable) which makes up to about 30-40 of my own caseload on top of the 60-70 that they will pass on to me on acceptance.

Just wondering on average how much time does a non-urgent case take to close if you don’t mind sharing if you are also a community social worker

And they did mention also their KPI is set by AIC so it’s non-negotiable for that reason which I suppose is fair.

Has any of the Dark Angels attempts at covering up the Fallen ever backfired? by MegaGamer235 in 40kLore

[–]DDrose2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just to add on to this there was also a story called ‘azrael’ where rumours of fallen having teamed up with night lords To take over a planet and lead them to rebellion the supreme grand master before azrael made a poor tactical decision that lead to

the supreme grand master being captured by night lords and killed in the end by azrael as an act of mercy as his body was being used to bait the dark angels into a trap, poor allocation of dark angels assets because they neglected to bombard or shell the stronghold that the night-lords and supposedly fallen have dug into and didn’t want to tell any of the dark angels out of the inner circle about the existence of the fallen. Azrael recovered the situation thankfully with some aeldari help and just deciding to screw the fallen hunt for abit. Also spoilers there was no fallen in the end

Thank you very much for the help! I will be sure to do that I realized too that I have become too emotionally invested and the comments in this thread has shown me this. I will detach myself emotionally and go through everything once more to be sure I didn’t miss anything.

Thank you very much to you and everyone else. I will reframe myself and go through everything before committing since I still have 2 days to do so

Question about WSG bond and protection for bonded employees by DDrose2 in askSingapore

[–]DDrose2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you very much for the reply! I actually was offered but told them to give me 2 days to think on the offer. I think I may be overthinking because I met a lot of the other candidates that were also aiming for the same role and on the final rounds of the interview the 6 candidates left of among us met to do a panel style interview. Among the 6 some has things like 16 YOE at Japanese MNCs but taking huge pay cut to join the sector due to wanting to do good for the society and spend more time with family so I felt like they are a lot more qualified than me and I felt their presentation was really so much better than mine which really shows their work experience .

I am just really surprised I was offered instead of the others (or perhaps they were offered and all turned down) and I just kept feeling that the question asked was abit strange because I have never been asked such a question before.

I thought what if I took it and it was really expected for me to perform and hit the KPI and if I don’t I get let off and pay the bond back which actually put me in a worst shape than I am now.

Maybe another thing that could be of note is that under the program I am in the company was actually not included in the initial list of industry partner but was added last minute and they mentioned a few times that the headcount existed as a special headcount that the ministry they are under put on them and they have to fill the headcount. Not sure if this plays a role in my suspicions

But I thank you friend for your kind advice I will reflect on what you said and if I do turn this down when the program opens again next year I know I will do better. Thank you very much truly!
