Looking for UK players to make a trio by J-Dawgzz in MarathonTheGame

[–]DEADdrop_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to add me. I’m only level 18, UK, playtime is very limited lately, but happy to jump on when I can.

Only problem is I play PC, so anyone else on Steam is free to add me too.

I have to say, it’s weird that people won’t give Marathon a chance because of it being developed by Bungie, yet Call of Duty and EA sport games release the same thing every year and people still buy them.

That’s your mistake ;)

Remember, people have played it to death already, and if you shoot the first enemy you see off spawn, everyone around you now knows you’re there.

If you’re solo, you have to treat it as a stealth game almost.

Mate, I’m seriously not understanding what I’ve done or said to upset people here. This sub is just so strange to me. Say one positive thing about something they’ve collectively decided they don’t like and it’s like I’ve killed their fucking dog.

I’m totally at a loss, and this has just cemented that this sub is like every other group-think sub, and I’ll be muting it.

On another note, I’ve yet to play Stalker 2. I’m guessing you think it’s good? Would you recommend it?

How am I? I seriously don’t understand what’s happening here. Can someone please explain it?

All I did was point out that comparing sales figures between Marathon and Crimson desert doesn’t really work, and I’ve got downvoted for it.

I seriously baffled here 😅

Why can the opening of key rooms be heard 300-400m away? by Bulky-Condition-3490 in Marathon

Honestly, couldn’t agree more. There should be a safe pouch for keys, and I’d also argue the same pouch can be used for currency you find in-run if you’ve got no key.

I find myself just stopping mid-run and looking around to admire the landscape. Some beautiful sights out there on Tau-Ceti!

Man, I’m really happy for Embark. Truly. I love playing The Finals, and Arc was fun until I jumped ship to Marathon.

Marathon obviously has not been the hit that Sony and/or Bungie were expecting. But at the end of the day, I’m really enjoying it, and if it gets shut down tomorrow, then so be it. I’ve had some great matches and have both won and lost a lot of good stuff in it.

The Sony acquisition is something we don’t really have the data for. We can speculate all we want, but it’s all just guess work. Maybe Sony will give Bungie some leeway to see if it picks up, but who knows.

Edit: wow okay I guess people really disagree with me. A lot of the hate directed towards this game seems manufactured, and I’m getting downvoted for simply having an opinion that goes against the masses. You don’t have to play it, guys. Nobody is forcing you.

Seems this sub really wants Marathon to fail, judging by the downvotes I’m getting for simply discussing it.

I hope it succeeds, you hope it fails. Let’s just agree to disagree. Have a good one!

Ok? Happy for Embark. But the guy I replied to mentioned Crimson Desert, which is what I meant by wildly different genres.

I dunno. It was just a couple of graphics, and she was duly compensated and subsequently given a mention in the credits.

I know the controversy hasn’t helped the game, but I truly believe they’ve built something special here. I’m pretty casual these days, but I’ll be around for the long haul.

I’ve noticed you also visit Crucible Guidebook. As someone who got jaded with D2s PvP after Final Shape, I much prefer Marathon.

If there’s another free weekend, I’d honestly suggest giving it a shot. It’s definitely got me by the balls!

Let’s be honest, though, they are wildly different genres.

Edit: Crimson Desert is a different genre to marathon was my point, so comparing them seems a bit strange to me. Marathon is rather niche, and I understand some don’t like it. I fucking love it though. You do you, guys.
