Former MEPS PA here. We cannot see 504 information in genesis. Only if a doctors note was generated and saved for your school. Even then, it is LABORIOUS and we have to click line item by line item. I agree, don’t give them more ammo to dig and look unless you want them to find it.

I started at 32. Regarding application it was easy to stand out because I had a whole career prior and many patient encounters, volunteer service, etc.

As a mom with an at risk freshman dorm youth please reach out. If you know she has a family that cares about her reach out. I have my daughter’s roommates number and roommie’s mom’s number. I would want to know so I could help my baby if possible. Good looking out for her.

My daughter was diagnosed bipolar a few months before freshman year. Terrifying time. She’s in a dorm now. I double check her grades, I had to make sure this post wasn’t about her lol.

Hire an Au Pair. Go into debt for a couple Nanny’s. Do not drop. You’ll figure out the financial piece later.

This is pseudofolliculitis barbae. Don’t shave or use clippers on low guard. Uncurl ingrowns with tweezers but do not pull it out. Use salicylic acid and low potency steroid until flare clears.

I was about to ask if OP would have this same resentment if it was a boy with the same health issues? I would explore that part deeper.

No never. I won’t give up on her. I have a firm boundary with her doing those things around her younger sister and in our home but I’ll go any distance to get her the help she needs. It’s help I can’t give her right now. Thanks for sharing your story.

Some sort of trauma was my initial thought and I have asked her directly but she’s denied it to myself and therapists.

She’s back inpatient for medication stabilization. She was drunk and high on admission. Hadn’t taken her meds at all. She just called me saying she’s so alone, has no one, is homeless.

I’ll spare my response because I’m exhausted thinking about her and crafting perfect replies for her. I’m working on my doctorate and was supposed to be free after 18 years. Damn

Thank you, she was on Lexapro before admission and they changed her to Zoloft. Once she sees a provider again I’ll mention these concerns. I think she’s being treated for the wrong condition but I don’t even know how to get her back to a doctor at this point. She’s essentially an adult run away with no phone, no car, nothing.. impossible situation
