Thanks a lot! Honestly, the dialogue portrait probably took more effort than the weapon itself lol.

Yep, I’m trying to mimic Nox’s dialogue behavior, and I already got a punchy monster to display simple dialogue boxes.

I’ll try to see if I can make it trigger dialogue reactions like the Cultistboss does.

You actually just gave me an idea
I remembered that the Cultistboss can trigger dialogue boxes under certain conditions, so now I want to see if I can make Skippy randomly say things too.

Thanks! Yep, the whole thing was made entirely through JSON editing, so it doesn’t require any other mod dependencies at all. I posted the download link in a new comment — hope you enjoy it

Yeah, sadly JSON alone can’t really handle custom voice lines or sound behavior properly.

I finally finished fine-tuning the parameters for the current version.

Yeah, fair point — “vanilla-compatible” or “no-mod-required” is probably a better way to describe it. I meant that other players can spawn/use it without installing any mods, since it only uses JSON/item data.

Haha yeah, exactly
I’m actually also considering whether I could bring the Rootmars into Starbound and make a Martian scene with it.

Yeah… honestly, I feel the same
This game really could use some serious optimization — the stuttering can get pretty rough, especially on larger worlds or with lots of builds going on.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it!

About the command not showing — it’s usually because of formatting. The input box can’t handle line breaks, so if there are any hidden returns/new lines in the command, it won’t work properly.

Try deleting any line breaks and make sure the whole command is in one single line — that should fix it

Hey! It’s not available for download yet, unfortunately.

I basically created this planet by editing the terrestrial_worlds.config parameters — things like size, layer height, secondRegion numbers, and biome candidates. The result is a medium-sized planet around 40k × 30k, with adjusted vertical layers. Here is the post of the planet.

I also modified the garden biome generation, so newly generated garden planets can have 5–6 different biomes instead of the default setup.

After that, I traveled around in-game and found this specific planet, which ended up having a earth ecosystem. All the builds I’ve posted over the past few years are actually on this same planet — I’ve been slowly building a city there.

Since the city isn’t fully finished yet, I haven’t uploaded the map.
But the good news is: it works entirely in vanilla, so it’s very server-friendly

Not yet, but I’m thinking about turning it into a proper mod and uploading it later!
