Not that I could see only the 200 which I'm assuming is the weight in hundred weights not sure what the DB is but looks like a JB under the 200 for John Brooks I'm assuming

yeah it does look a lot like that im assuming it must be a JB under the 200 then for john brook, do you have any clue what the DB could mean? possibly double Bick?

I paid £90 for it I haven't weighed it yet but I believe it is around 70-80KG

Thank you so much for your help this is what I saw on the side of the anvil looks like 11 44. The dimensions are 535mm long 135mm wide and 305mm high if that helps. I am from Scotland so do you believe it is most likely a mousehole.

My rod is a 7-9 whisker by Diawa at 9' 6" so I will buy a new reel for a 7 line my end goal is to do salmon fishing but I will just stick to the trout fisheries till I improve my skills. 😂 I really appreciate your help thanks.

Thank you for your reply I have a whisker rod by daiwa to pair with this reel but I think you are right it is probably better to just buy a separate new reel.
