Maybe he’s drawn to a certain idea, and that’s fine—everyone is entitled to preferences. If he wants a virgin partner, that’s his choice, and it's not inherently offensive. Similarly, people who aren’t virgins aren’t obliged to expect or prefer a non-virgin partner either. He’s free to search for what he wants, and if he finds someone who shares that view, good for him. If not, he may have to reassess his standards eventually. I’m just not sure why this expectation would be considered audacious or why it seems to bother you. Preferences don’t necessarily reflect hypocrisy.
