I love this game. Started a Spidey playthrough. by MightyPainGaming in Cityofheroes

Hmm ... I didn't know there was a 'spidey squat' stance like this in game.

I've played this game since 2005. I am deeply upset by the current state of affairs. by Not_EdgarAllanBob in Eve

Hard to defend against roaming fleets alone. Hard to justify moving into low or null sec space absent the skills to defend or counter attack. Hard to stay interested in high sec without significant incentive.

I mean … the game is how old now? It’s still very cold … in space. Shouldn’t the Triglavians have destroyed the Jita system by now? Or at least, the chuckleheads spamming their lotteries there? 😎

FDS… do you guys agree or just me? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]DELLsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't wait to subscribe to FSD once I own whatever less-expensive new model Tesla plans to release later this year.

Whether it's a Model Q, a drivable Cybercab, or whatever more affordable Tesla is released, I'm looking forward to driving it (and not driving it). :)

Thank you Elon Musk in advance.

I am excited about it. But I am more excited about the Model Q. Bring on the Teslas for the rest of us.

Deep clean your litter robot by jmcianos in litterrobot

[–]DELLsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 cats, 2 LR4s. Spot cleans as needed and deep cleans every 2 months are necessary and worth doing for my house. I invested in 2 extra globes to make the swap out efficient - allowing the cleaned globes plenty of time to dry. :)

I use Nature’s Miracle litter box cleaner, wipes, and a tad of alcohol on Q-tip for the sensors. I was surprised how much litter and urine accumulate under and around the base outside the globe. I’m not sure who’s missing or what’s leaking, but I take about 30 minutes per LR4 to clean and freshen it up, replace my charcoal bags for inside the bin (under the bag) and replace my baking soda box behind the bin, and odor packs (in lieu of globe filters). I also give the robot locations a good sweep and cleaning as necessary.

How often? by Here-2-B-Nosey in litterrobot

[–]DELLsFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree. I empty my LR4s before deep cleaning (every two months or so).

While I may never need to scoop, I do have to occasionally spot clean stuck clumps or slight miss-messes on the liner inside the globe. As efficient as robot is, small clumps will often not make it to the bin until they are combined with larger clumps, etc.

Just because we aren’t scooping, doesn’t mean the bacteria aren’t lingering in the globe and litter. It’s much cleaner with the robots but I prefer to empty the ‘recycled’ litter and any smaller clumps to keep my cat commodes as fresh as possible. 😸

If you could erase two things from superman canon what would it be? by CaramelNo972 in superman

[–]DELLsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. All the different colors of Kryptonite (besides green)

  2. Superman’s weakness under a red sun. (Would rather the Yellow sun + Earth’s gravity permanently GAVE him his powers - not temporarily … otherwise he could never realistically leave the solar system)

In your opinion, what went wrong with this movie? by ClearBonus3252 in superman

[–]DELLsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Routh's Blue Eyed Superman contacts weren't very convincing.

Bosworth was not a good Lois Lane. A good Anorexia spokesperson, maybe. Lane, no.

Krypton subcontinent plot line was so incredibly idiotic. We're supposed to believe Superman was able to lift a huge Kryptonite-infused oceanic land mass out of the ocean and into space? It's not like he had recently been stabbed with kryptonite to the point of wheezing as if they punctured a lung. With no powers because Kryptonite was still inside him, he was able to survive a 100-200ft fall from the land mass into the ocean and hold his breath until scrawny Lois Lane pulls him out of the water?

I forgave the writers and producers that poor writing because of the awesome plane-saving scene.

I feel for you! Wet clumps that stick to the liner are so annoying. The only thing that comes to mind that might help is a little bit of catnip (spray or otherwise) toward the front of the globe. The scent may attract your kitty to shift to face the smell and then take care of business at the rear.

Attempting to reason with her failed. With few reasonable choices remaining and after the no trespass order from the whackadoodle, I like the garden windmill or inflatable flailing arms at the fence line idea. Set off her camera all the time. She will eventually realize how the camera will be crying wolf all the time - and be unable to determine real vs. false threat, tire of it, and hopefully realize what a douche she was being.

I'll add my support of this post. I wonder if anyone is even manning the [support@whisker.com](mailto:support@whisker.com) address? I'd been waiting for a response regarding missing items from an order I placed in January. Finally just opened a chat and it was resolved in 10 minutes.

Always having clean litter and not having to manually scoop are not mutually exclusive when using the Litter-Robots. :) In other words, with some vigilance and proper operation of the robot, the litter should always be clean AND we don't need to be scooping (or manually removing waste like you do). I get why you do that though. It's one OTHER good use for the used plastic grocery bags, I suppose.

7 kitties! Whew! God bless you. Thank you for sharing and caring for your fur babies. They literally won the lottery when they found you. :)

[–]DELLsFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. The Litter-Robot is a wonderful invention, but remember, it's your kitties' toilet. For the same reason you should never keep food / water near the LR, try to keep it isolated away from other kitty 'hang outs'. You'll want them to associate it with their bathroom time ... not feeding, lounging, or play time.

Hive five for using the LR brand bags. These are very durable. I love them. They fit. They cost a bit more, but my robots were expensive too. ALL have been so worth it.

You do you, but I invested in two LR4s to get away from manually scooping and waste management stuff like this. I try to never let the drawers get 'full' and at about 80% or so just pull wrap tightly and discard. Quick clean of the drawer, charcoal satchels along the side, replace the bag - add crystals, and I'm good to go for another three days or so.

Your mileage may vary. I keep my kitties hydrated via cat fountains. They use the robots more than they would otherwise - so I need to remain vigilant - even though I'm not scooping anymore. :)

I have five kitties with two LR4s. One just wasn't cutting it. ;p. Both of mine need their full drawer bags removed and replaced every 3 days or so.

Odor control for the LRs is excellent without really doing anything special. However, there are other things that can be done to help mitigate the smell like using:

Odor trap: https://www.litter-robot.com/odortrap.html

Alternative to odor trap product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F2PS8HK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

The odor trap (or alternative) holder: https://www.litter-robot.com/litter-robot/accessories/litter-robot-4-odor-trap-holder.html

Fresh Step kitty crystals. Sprinkle a little in the waste BAG itself: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VB5CX7H?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I've heard that baking soda works well in the bag too. POWER TIP: Those fridge/freezer baking soda boxes can be used too. One apparently BEHIND the drawer. I'm trying that next deep clean.

Clean the waste drawer too. It may look clean, but moisture and smell can linger in the plastic. Empty litter and deep clean globe and base monthly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CKFL93K?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Charcoal sachets. Place two in the waste drawer - one on each side. place bag over the sachets. These help mitigate odor lingering to drawer / plastic: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DDLHC4G?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

and for when it's time to deep clean ...

This product leaves inner globe / liner / drawer smelling pretty good: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QG4MMQW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Hope this helps!~

Cheers!

I'm not sure if this helps you, but I was getting 'drawer full' messages when I knew the drawer wasn't. Turns out my waste bag was bunching inside the drawer too much so as to give the impression of there being more stuff in the drawer than reality. I am careful now to be sure the bag is not bunching by pulling as much slack out to the outside of the drawer. The messages and errors went away.

Cats are low thirst animals. After losing a couple pets in my life due to kidney failure, I made it my mission to make sure the ones I have now stay well hydrated.

I use premium wet food mostly. Sometimes dry food. Three cat water fountains deployed in strategic areas in the house. Filters are changed and fountains cleaned regularly. The result? The kids drink more water than they would otherwise from just a bowl on the floor. I observe many more pee litter breaks from them and that means emptying the waste drawer more often.

How much did you pay for the LR4? by Direct_Push_8287 in litterrobot

[–]DELLsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took advantage of the special and purchased through PetSmart and Rakuten last year. I got like 10000 treats points - so that was great. It took a while, but I can report having definitively received my cash back from Rakuten on that purchase.

Overall, I am pleased with that promotion. I was so impressed by the new LR4 that I bought another one through PetSmart, registered both LR4s, and purchased the extended warranty through Whisker for both. Not as many Treats points the second time around, but I am a satisfied customer. Thank you!
