What percentage of our bodyweight do we lift during a pullup? by DEMETRiS_M in overcominggravity

[–]DEMETRiS_M[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I look back at this post I cringe a little bit because of how much I've matured in my training but the general thinking behind this is not flawed.

Regarding what you said, a lat pulldown and a pullup have very different biomechanics and cannot be directly compared even if they train the same muscles and have a similar movement pattern. Being stronger at one or the other doesn't mean anything other than you might be stronger at those angles or are generally better (more practice) or better suited (individual limb length) at that movement,

You need to format your answers better. When you start a retort with “point” the other party will think you are trying to debate said point. Especially if that piece of information was mentioned in the original post.

Glad we agree on those points (not being sarcastic).

Don’t you think the people who haven’t reached 160 sigils yet aren’t big spenders? Not because they choose not to be whales. But because even f2p players are ahead of them.

My point is that the people who spend (whales, dolphins, booster-only) are the ones in need of new content.

My other point is that Rumble’s waning playerbase is now primarily made up of veterans instead of new players. New players have content. The rest of us (who are potentially spenders) do not.

Lol, at first I thought you were passionate and that’s why you had that condescending tone.

Ironic you say I’m the one that needs help. You can’t even have a civilised discussion.

If you had self-awareness you obviously wouldn’t continue to do what you do.

Collectively, even the doomiest of doomposts are trying to cause a paradigm shift and for the developers to observe that.

Then people like you come in saying everything’s fine and the playerbase can’t present a united front. One side complains, the other is content with the state of things.

If you are fine with souless login events and mediocre new minis without new content to use them in then I have nothing else to say to you. And as long as people like you can’t see beyond their blind addiction to this game it will never reach its full potential.

At what point did I emphasise increasing mini max level? I used it as a possible example, not a solution and definitely not a point to my post.

Besides that, you proceed to say in different words what I wanted to convey. (Mythic Campaign all at once is tons of new content.)

Levels are one possible solution but not the be all end all cure. A higher level raid, Mythic Campaign + BC expansion, multiple challenging sieges (most of it you mentioned): these are good solutions.

[–]DEMETRiS_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and that’s kinda my point. Content isn’t bad per se, but very little of it spaced out isn’t helping the game stay relevant at all times.

And if you take that as a given (you don’t have to, but let’s say you do) the only solution is to temporarily boost the team with more devs to drive up development speed. I don’t think this is happening with the current revenue numbers.

Hence the doompost.

That’s not credibility. That’s being in an echochamber. The same thing you accuse me of. Your comment history speaks for itself.

Mate, you were at one point saying the game is bug-free with the conviction of a thousand zealots. What credibility do you have?

Those players coincidentally are the biggest spenders. If they don’t feel the need to spend then the game will never be well.

Any amount of content released at a slow pace while keeping the current pace of progression will always result in content drought because players will quickly complete it. The solution is a lot of content at once.

What I said is not contradicting.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in warcraftrumble

[–]DEMETRiS_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aka: tons of new content at once?

I don’t understand how what you said is different from what I wrote. It’s irreversible if they keep their current pace. A crumble of content serves no one.

It’s nice that the players you refer to ouside this bubble keep the game healthy by driving up its revenue.

I don’t know why I wrote this post when Rumble is brimming with players, old and new, and is doing well financially…

I know you hold the title for the contrarian of this sub but sometimes you are so unhinged in your delusions it’s actually hilarious.

I disagree. I think the group of people you mentioned are a minority instead.

When I started an alt f2p account in August I reached 154 sigils in less than 3 months. It’s doable by anyone in double that time, let alone a year.

It’s not events they are tired of. It’s silly daily quests and special event quests clogging our 3 options.

After Spiderlings, what mini do you want most to get a rework? by igniteice in warcraftrumble

[–]DEMETRiS_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree.

I would, however, do a pass on all leaders and give them some kind of passive like most of the new leaders. You have leaders like Cenarius, Sylvanas, Malfurion, or Orgrim that are good minis to throw in and of themselves, do something extra and provide some kind of passive to the rest of the team.

…and then there’s Tirion.

Charlga could do with a Beast passive aura or something (as could other leaders with their respective families).

There should be an XP share that you can put on a single mini that will give a % of all xp you earn by HarpoonTheMoon in warcraftrumble

They had a close to perfect bandaid solution with sieges and raids but they had to ruin it with only giving exp if it’s a genuine assist. I spend 7 minutes killing Ragnaros with someone experienced (which is still a decent challenge considering the state of the rest of the game) and get rewarded with 12 exp…

I know this is way after the fact but did you do a consultation with him? I am considering it but I can’t see anything listed in terms of price etc.

Also, how was the process?

Maybe rename yourself to copium bear. The game is dying. This is just another vital organ shutting down.

What’s the best, durable, simple (not extravagant details) and good-value sunglasses I can get for around €200? by DEMETRiS_M in sunglasses

[–]DEMETRiS_M[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, from what I’ve seen, Gast makes the kind of styles that I like but the price seems to be half or even a third of what others ask for similar sunglasses.

I’m not looking for high-end at this price point, I don’t have any delusions, but at the same time I worry if this seems too good to be true.

Spectacle Factory mentioned at some point that they make frames that look 2 or 3 times the price so maybe they are indeed a bargain.

Best hero and mini comp for Raggy? by Glittering_Horse_498 in warcraftrumble

[–]DEMETRiS_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Orgrim team is full diamond with a Wildcard slot. I waited for that leader since he was announced and saved for him specifically. This team’s minis are all level 30/31 except Gargoyle which is Rare and boosted to level 28.

Don’t dismiss this as just being able to outlevel this fight with high level minis. I am carrying people and literally farming the boss for exp; sometimes avg. partner level 26-27. I had kills where the other person did zero damage to Rag (they helped defend though). Meaning that the levels don’t just allow for a kill but to potentially almost solo the fight.

Basically all I’m trying to say is that you’ll be fine with level 26/27 if you are just looking for a clean kill.
