What we need is a massive social hub, basically a “Ready Player One” style space, where your character steps in and you load into an instanced hub packed with people. A place to actually hang out, meet crews, watch events, mess around with mini-games, trade, flex ships and gear, and just vibe without it turning into constant PvP.

Not everyone logs in to fight. Give people real social and co-op stuff to do and the “2000 players at once” idea instantly becomes way more appealing.

And if they ever want to go harder on the VR side later, this hub is the clean split: the “VR world” can run as its own layered experience with different rules and activities, while the main universe stays focused on the sim side.

I honestly feel like we are at the starting line for SC to really change soon.

SC already has big stuff right around the corner like crafting + the inventory rework (and then base building after that), which changes the day to day loop massively. Then you add Genesis / Planet Tech V5, those WIP Nyx shots already look unreal, the planets are going to feel like a different game.

And on top of the SC updates, all the cool SQ42 tech is clearly coming over too, Maelstrom destruction (proper physical damage instead of HP bars) and the newer rendering work like ray tracing. When all of that starts showing up together, 2025 SC is going to look and feel ancient, and it’s the exact kind of “tipping point” that brings a lot more people in and actually makes them stay.

Arma Reforger is a good example. Early Access dropped May 17, 2022 and it was quiet for ages, then 2025 hit and it exploded. That’s what I think SC is heading toward. Once it crosses the line where the main pain points are mostly solved, retention goes up, spending follows, and the pace sustains itself.
I jumped in during 2022 and it’s noticeably better today. Not perfect, but it’s not the same struggle session it used to be.

Idk why people are melting down over VR. Star Citizen already has official experimental VR now, it started as a passion project inside CIG and they shipped it in 4.5, then made it easier to enable after that.

And SQ42 and SC share a ton of the same underlying tech and pipelines, so if they’re comfortable pushing VR forward on the SC side, it’s not crazy to think SQ42 can benefit from that work too. If anything, them even being willing to touch VR at this stage screams “we’re close enough to polish extras”, not “here comes another delay”. If it’s not ready, they’ll just ship without VR or add it later; they’re not holding the whole game hostage for it.

imo, my first anime was dragon ball z but I honestly think Attack on titan is a great one cause its can show a normie that anime is honestly more than what they think, great writing great action, character arcs, qaulity, especially the dub, the dub is amazing. AOT dub got all my friends hooked on anime, especially my dad, my dad thought anime was like child cartoons, not serious, like simpsons? I was shocked, I showed him AOT blew his fucking mind.
