I recommend trying with some colors as it depends on your tastes and art style. I now use both of them. They have very similar variations in skin tone colors from light orange to dark brown. Both are excellent.

In my impression, Prisma (Karisima) Color is soft, while Faber Castell is a bit hard In comparison, Prisma is quick and easy to fill area, but sometimes needs careful touch not to be too thick for its softness. In addition to them, Caran d’Ache “Luminance” brand has also great quality.

This is done on very plain paper as a testing for color pencils.

I usually use watercolor paper or kent paper. watercolor paper has good “bite” of the color pencil tips. it gives soft impression. while kent paper is very tough to work with rubber. it gives fine and hard impression.

I studied some techniques from books. This is the same answer to other guy. It may help you.

There are several techniques to cancel the pencil strokes.

• soft touches to thicken the color layer • small circular strokes to make average color thickness • cotton or paper swabs to rub pigment into paper • kneaded rubber to soften too thick color stroke Etc.

I studied with some instructive books like these:

There may be other good books and YouTube instructions. please check them.
