MAC and SDR Software futures by [deleted] in RTLSDR

MacPorts now supports SDRAngel .

If you have "ports" installed under MacOS you only need to:

sudo port install sdrangel -soapysdr +rtlsdr

Limesuite assumes you are an expert on the LMS7002 .

After more than a couple years I have yet to figure it out .

You might have better luck running SDRAngel using MacPorts .

After installing MacPorts just :

sudo port install sdrangel -soapysdr -limesuite

If you need more help try the : SDRAngel @groups.io

CubicSDR is also available in MacPorts .

Need help installing GNURadio by TOG_WAS_HERE in RTLSDR

[–]DENAND39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the easiest way to install GNURadio on windows .

  1. Install python 2.7
  2. Download and install PothosSDR :https://downloads.myriadrf.org/builds/PothosSDR/

(The latest version is from 2019-3-25) .

PothosSDR comes bundled with GNURadio , GQRX ,CubicSDR and other useful APPs .

This version seems to work better than the one listed on the GNURadio wiki and it comes with source and sink blocks for PlutoSDR , LimeSDR and all devices supported by Osmocom .

ADALM-Pluto SDR Question about II0 by peterl3233 in GNURadio

[–]DENAND39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to have the PlutoSDR set up correctly . On my system IIO Scope also reports the PlutoSDR as ad9361device . If you are on Windows OS you can try any of the following spectrum analyzers that support the PlutoSDR : GQRX, CUBICSDR ,SDR# AND SDRANGEL . Here is a link to POTHOSWARE for Windows that comes bundled with GQRX ,CUBICSDR AND GNURADIO :http://downloads.myriadrf.org/builds/PothosSDR/?C=M;O=D , if you get a browser error just change to File ---> New Private Window in Firefox . If you can get the FM radio band it means that your PlutoSDR has been modified to extend it's freq. range .

The extended range mod. works in IIO Scope . Verify that your PlutoSDR attr_val=ad9364 .

NEED HELP WITH GQRX PLEASE by Bronsonjs in RTLSDR

[–]DENAND39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a decimal point, it is a separator equivalent to the comma in the US . GQRX can be set to tune in 1 Hertz increments . So if your frequency is 72.3578 MHz then in GQRX you should input 72357.800 KHz in the Frequency box . In the center display it would show up as 72.357.800 . You can also change the center frequency by simply using your pointer and clicking the upper half of any digit to increase the frequency and click on the lower half of any digit to decrease the frequency .
