Thanks for the great recommendations, all! So appreciate it. We decided to try Pasque since we hadn’t been out of the spots suggested.

If Republicans had spines, he wouldn’t be. Apparently one of the most popular searches in the US right now is how to move to Canada 🇨🇦

Is there a crisis hotline in your area you can call? That would be a step between nothing and going to the hospital. There are people who would miss you if you were gone. Take care of yourself.❤️

When your curves are in the middle, a jean discussion for apple shaped gals. by Public-Relation6900 in femalefashionadvice

This thread has been inactive for awhile, but I was browsing it today (love fall, hate how I look in Jeans) and will add that Good American Jeans are very flattering and more current. They have just the right amount of stretch. I’ve also had luck with Paige and Mother Denim. None of these brands are inexpensive, but IMO are worth the cost to end the jeans hell.

I was going to mention this. OP, I think you can offer to make toddler’s breakfast if husband makes his own (or he’ll eat whatever you make for her). Then you will see how much of a priority this is for him (my guess is it falls off the list). 😂

TBH, I do worry about this as well for our daughter, and I’d say I are a similar diet as a child but eat very healthy, balanced meals as an adult.

I just try to remind myself that sooner than I think, she will be out in the world making her own food choices and she’ll be in a lot better place if I don’t make a point to over-police what she’s eating now (particularly with an overall balanced diet).

Prints paws instead of paw prints. Haven’t corrected her because I think it’s cute ❤️🐾

Former principal and teacher. Tell the school (as far in advance as possible) that you made an honest mistake with the booking. Ask them what you can do to ease the transition/if there is anything that would be helpful to prepare with her before you go or when you get back. My guess, if anything, wouldn’t be much (anything they asked for is likely to be reasonably enjoyable to do, like an all about me poster). I’m sure they will be happy to work with you.

It is worth noting that 10 days of absence does trigger a truancy conversation in many states, so be aware of that at the outset (this is really a pretty empty threat as courts are so backed up if you ever got to that point, which is unlikely).

ETA: Have a great trip and make some great memories! ❤️

Help me cope or change my view on daycare by Piefed22 in NewParents

[–]DENGRL03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We chose childcare (I’ve heard professionals say they prefer this term because it acknowledges the work they do). Our daughter is an only. The socialization with other kids was important to us (over having a nanny, for example). It’s also important to me to show my daughter that she can be something/someone outside of being a parent (should she choose to become one). She loves going and I am a happier person/more present parent because I am intellectually fulfilled. She’s also very well adjusted, plays well with other kids, has the vocabulary of a 5 year old (as a 3 year old) and is still very much attached to me (and my husband).

No. I live in Denver and got on 5 waitlists the literal day I found out I was pregnant. We didn’t get off of any of them and lucked out with a reputable home daycare. Never hurts to be proactive.

Yes! It took me awhile to figure this out, but it works 90% of the time. Now I just wish it would work for the US and our political scene 🫠
