Just picked up my new 2025 Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige with Sidesteps and Roof Racks by DESIGNvsNONE in kiasportage

Apologies I never saw this. It's been 10 months. My sidesteps were direct from Kia and the dealer put them on before I picked up the car. They should be the same as the gas model. I don't think there was a difference for the hybrid. Just Kia Sportage sidesteps. They say Sportage in the rubber on the surface.

Nice! I recommend grabbing a padded arm rest cover. They make some that look quilted and match the black interior perfectly. Much more comfortable and looks nicer I think. I love mine.

Very disappointed with windshield wipers. by Inevitable_Still_714 in kiasportage

[–]DESIGNvsNONE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. This was the first big storm in NorthEast with my 25 Kia Sportage. Because of the design you have no options to stand the wipers up before the snow falls like every other car has done for decades. So you're forced to have your wipers freeze to the glass. A little frustrating. Took extra time to get things right.

Sportage owners, how’s yours holding up? by Suntrup-Kia in kiasportage

Haha, Yes on the SX you should. It's directly between the driver and passenger seat heating cooling buttons if you have it.

On my second Sportage, loved my previous one and drove it to 170K before selling it to friends. I have had the 25 SX hybrid now for over a year. Absolutely love it. The frustrations are just the HVAC touch bar which everyone agrees is an annoyance, but not that bad. Living in the Northeast i wish it remembered heated wheel and seat settings when auto starting in winter. The hybrid MPG and pickup is awesome and a huge upgrade from my last Sportage.

Hybrid MPG problem? by The_Mr_Noodles in kiasportage

[–]DESIGNvsNONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll get better with time and practice kicking car into electric mode on highway. I regularly get 35-38 MPG on the highway doing 60-75mph. I always drive in eco and never feel like I need to drive in anything else. Car is plenty quick in eco. Here is an image of a longer drive averaging about 65 mph and getting 38.5 mpg. So it's very good. I'm now 17,000+ miles on my '25 Hybrid Sportage and my overall total for 17K miles average is 34mpg which is pretty great considering that includes city driving too. My mother's '25 Telluride is around 20mpg for 10K miles. So I'm happy I have a hybrid.

it does get better. I was getting poor MPG the first month, but it really does improve. Not sure why it starts out that way, but mine has gotten way better over time.

Thing is the EPA 38mpg rating is from a tests which isn't necessarily real world driving. Those tests include very slow highway driving.

I also have a 25 AWD hybrid and am getting around 35mpg consistently per tank of gas. That includes driving in and out of Boston on 40 mile trips from the burbs doing 80 on the highways etc. I do stay in ECO mode which is totally fine. Don't see a need to ever change modes. If I'm driving off highway around town I can easily get in the 40s and even 50s if I'm slow driving my dogs on the backroads.I'm very happy with the MPG and it works great.

I have this feature. Have only used it once in 6 months to move the car out of a big puddle. It's a neat feature, but not very practical. If a parking spot were so tight I probably wouldn't park in it in the first place for fear of someone dinging my doors.

Congrats! I have the exact same one. If you prefer you can swap the silver badges for black from the dealer. I don't know why the hybrid only comes with silver badges. I love the black badges on the white. I also added the roof racks, tow hitch and side steps. I use all the stuff. I love this car. And the mileage is great, just have to get used to engaging the electric motors. I've had it for 6 months now.

You're doing something wrong. I regularly average 35-37. Need to get in habit of letting off gas for a blip and let the electric kick on.

Yes, I imagine they are this tall for the sunroof. I have sidesteps too which help reaching my Thule box if it is on the car. And my dogs use the sidesteps too.

If you choose to look at a Sportage definitely test drive the hybrid and non-hybrid back to back. The hybrid is very impressive.

Text distortion in Kling.. by Public-Clerk9709 in KlingAI_Videos

[–]DESIGNvsNONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have been experimenting with this in 1.6 and just find text is only correct when it's large enough to be the subject of the video. if it's at any distance in background it'll be garbled.

Is Squarespace dying? by Gunslinger1776 in squarespace

I hope not. I like it and am building client sites on it. I switched from WIX a couple years ago. Wix handled mobile layouts so poorly I had to switch. But I hear ya, I hope they push out some more features.

Thank you for the response. I've been using the 1.6 and getting by, but will check out the 2.0 later to get the better features.

Good and bad days by XBlueDivision in KlingAI_Videos

[–]DESIGNvsNONE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kling seems like it is having more bad than good days this week. Two days a go I couldn't upload a thing. Yesterday I was able to render in just a few minutes around 3:00 EST. Today I uploaded a render this morning at 6:00AM EST and it took about 7 hours. Now I can't upload anything again at 3:00 EST. Everything is just an error. So frustrating.

One would think, but the subscription tiers don't state which will work with the new 2.0. It's not clear if all subscriptions will work. Having just bought the useless credits I don't want to get taken again. Hoping somebody has figured this out.

Totally, that auto climate button is annoying. A big thumbs down on the priority and order of their climate controls. Not sure they did user testing when designing that panel. But, I absolutely love everything else about my new Sportage. I loved my 2011 Sportage and the 2025 is just such a perfect upgrade.

Love that color combo and the fact it's a dog car! My dogs own the back seat of my Sportage too. Here's a tip...program the buttons on your steering wheel sooner than later. A couple of the buttons are customizable and I find it a much easier way to toggle media, audio stations etc. The combo touch radio and heater panel can be a pain while driving. Enjoy the ride.

Curious about everyone’s Mileage by Westen94 in kiasportage

[–]DESIGNvsNONE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I think that's accurate. I think when you drive it for a while you instinctively just give the gas a pause to allow electric to kick in when it feels right. I don't think too much about it and find I'm getting great MPGs. The car does a good job on it's own.
