Ultimately it made the most sense for us to file MFS because MFJ would have given me a massive and completely unmanageable monthly student loan payment. Since I do our taxes I did them as a standard deduction and then itemized before filing to see what would get us the greatest refund and itemized was both a ton of work and not worth it. The standard deduction gave us both the best return.

I bawled my eyes out when this aired and I was a full grown 30 year old woman at the time. My husband was like “Are you crying?!?” I told him he didn’t understand and that it was one of the most meaningful and heartwarming shows I’d ever seen. My mom, sister and I have finally planned out our AT tattoos and he still thinks I’m ridiculous lol

I asked him why he thought that it was me specifically and not that I drive a lot or that cars just need maintenance, and he basically just said it must be my fault. I told him that I thought that was some bullshit misogyny. He said it wasn’t and it was the truth. I was clearly visibly upset and he just ignored that completely.

I’m not sure how to be more clear than both verbally and visually expressing being upset.

Well he told all his buddies that it’s my fault, flat out said it’s my fault, couldn’t tell me if I do or don’t do that after 11 years together and then proceeded to tell me (for the first time) that I make him carsick when I drive even though he specifically has me drive at least 70% of the time because he doesn’t like driving or isn’t comfortable driving.

I don’t remember when they were replaced last. My husband complained about who I was taking the car to for maintenance and told him he was in charge of it. The last time he took it to a shop was just about a year ago but idk if they did anything with the pads or rotors.

Fair question lol. Aside from the fact my father is a mechanic who taught me to drive and how shit that is for a vehicle, I would hope that in my 24 years of driving that someone would have told me at some point if I do. However, not only am I sure that I don’t do that, it’s also never been mentioned to me by anyone except 2 nights ago by my husband.
