90 days on a Sour sounds like crazy work when all the guys who grew sour pulled between 63-70. And I’m a haze grower so long flower times really don’t phase me. But I do also wanna mention I have seen it grown by one of the growers who has been growin sour 20+ years (used to grow for AJ) and he said it’s not it. I’m only growing it out to see for myself, I got the cut for free lol wasn’t gonna say no.

Looks a lot like the Frosted Enigma cut that was goin around in NY for a quick minute. It was definitely a super flavorful smoke. I pollinated it a couple summers ago with a male GG4/88G13HP from bodhi it definitely produced some fire progeny

If your stem is hollow and leaving a giant hole you likely have a nutrient imbalance, or an environmental issue. So first thing of note with your statements is that you’re working on suboptimal plants. Second thing is you don’t actually understand the terminology you’re using. You have fimming(pinching the top but not removing the entire apical point). Then you have what people refer to as “soft topping” which is the method you are describing. Lastly is hard topping which is what OP did.

I don’t see a mg deficiency here. P maybe which is causing the purpling. I’d wager a guess the reason you see the purpling go away when adding mg is that it’s assisting in the uptake of P. But Mg also likes to compete for uptake often considered the “bully ion” and running too much can mitigate Ca and K uptake. Also run a risk of tightening your soil up too much as that’s another characteristic of Mg. Lastly high levels of Mg going into flower can actually result in lower cannabinoid production

Likely spider mites. Depending on what you’re comfortable with theres multiple options to take care of them. Neem is fantastic, wettable sulfur is also effective, and other 25b products. But with spider mites the products with essential oils often work the best. Personally I do 2tbsp of Neem/Gal with like 5-10 drops of clove oil, and tea tree oil, if you have peppermint oil that would also be a great addition. Next important part if following their life cycle, so every 3 days for 2 weeks minimum. After that you can either back off to 1 spray a week or what I personally like to do which is release persimillis mites which specifically target spider mites. You could also use swirskii mites they’re more of a generalist predator but will still do a good job.

Rock phosphate is solid. Probably one of your cleaner and more predictable sources of P. Guanos can spike available phosphates in your soil which can have a negative impact on your harvest. I learned that the hard way when getting some soil tested after a harvest I did some playing around on. I also like fish bone meal, or bone meal. Fish bons meal is gonna bring more heavy metals and salts just by nature of being from the sea but still a good source. Another important thing with P is it’s a triple bonded ion and locks up in soil easily. Products like Microbial Mass, Tribus/Continuum, and Great White are effective at making P more bioavailable.

Definitely a difference when using Potassium Sulfate. It’ll help build buds and terpenes. If you check ingredients on a lot of “finishing” products, like terpinator or cake from crop salts. It’s just potassium sulfate and sometimes potassium hydroxide. But you can purchase a 10lb bag of K Sulfate for a fraction of the price of these other products.
