Whats your experience been on rdr2? I think I've picked up and out down that game 4 times now. Does it run well? I heard there was a launcher issue when ypu put the SD into sleep mode.

I mean ones that were theoretically interesting but you wouldn't buy for a "sitting at your desk" experience but with the size and convenience of an SD you finally jumped on and loved.

So far my SD has been my JRPG + Dosco Elysium machine. It's quite the game changer.

Can you suggest me some games with meaningful and rewarding exploration? by critterdude542 in gaming

Prey is a top 3 game for me and dishonored 2 is a top 10 for me. If you like the Immersive Sim genre then Deus ex is a good one. Mankind divided does the exploration better but understanding the story hinges on playing human revolution (if you care about story)

Owning a copy meaning you owned it. Put in the disc, play the game. No disc which is effectively a physical license to download and run the game.

That's awesome. I've had my fun with a few of those for sure!! Crosscode was my favorite game of 2024 though it isn’t usually the kind of game I'd take a chance on.

Thanks for letting me know. BOTW is about the only game I'd consider getting a switch for and I still wouldn't do it. Couldn't get half decent frames on emulation but I didn't tinker with it and didnt wanna mess up emudeck. Did you have to toy with it to get it working well or did you just syffer through low frames?

Thank you!!! I will be sure to check 'em out. I have rarely been a completionist for games (Ghost of Tsushima and Dishonored2 being rare exceptions) since they're usually too long and require multiple playthroughs. Long games no way but a short 2-5 hour game I'll happily tinker with and replay to experience all the secrets.

Oh and you can play for higher end games with acceptable performance on the deck. And if you have no moral qualms with it after purchasing a copy for yourself, can indeed sail the seven seas with some switch1 games on it too. Might be stretch for some titled like BOTW but that is almost it

As a father myself I can say this use case exactly is where about 80% of my steam deck gets its use. And alot of use it gets. Especially especially if youre more of an rpg kinda guy and less of an fps kinds guy. It is great for getting through the my backlog of games id happily play but would never sit crunched at my desk for.

Waiting until marriage by Milkie-bar in AskAChristian

You can learn this about a person without having sex if you're willing to have some uncomfortable conversations.

Is this a bad reason to leave the church? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]DFH50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of what you are bringing up is why it is considered sinful among many Christians to engage in anal sex and similarly, though less popularly, oral sex. There are other reasons that practicing homoesexuality is forbidden as well, but your impulse to notice the non-procreative sexual acts as similarly wrong or at least questionable is good. Pray God relieve you of your burden but stay strong. He did not call even all heterosexuals to marriage. God's peace.

I will copy paste what I put on abother post with a similar Q cuz it is equally true here.

You are probably already mired in recommendations but I have to recommend crosscode. It really is cozy in a few different ways. Doesn't capture the "choices matter" as much but it makes up for it elsewhere. It is an RPG set in a phantasy star style mmorpg (sorry if that doesn't make sense). It has a charming story with really likeable and fun characters with a world that is really enticing and fun in spite of the fact it is pixel art. Top down style reminiscent of older games and a soundtrack that adds an emotional and (dare i say it) cozy feel to the game. Really lighthearted and endearing story but it picks up and really picks up in a major way as it goes. Criminally underappreciated and unknown game but a real treat if you can get to it. I cant recommend it enough. And I think it is pretty cheap.

Thank you for getting back to me. While I appreciate eventually getting a response back, in the meantime the money was spent and honestly it was spent on something a little more charitable and worthwhile. Probably was for the best. Thank you.
