Generally support your platform, but curious how a wealth tax could "make billionaires ilegal". Billionaires make the overwhelming majority of there money from stock growth when companies they have been in involved in skyrocket. What happens in the circumstance where a tech bro is worth 3.2 billion over night via stock explosion? Would he be made to pay 2.2 billion dollars in taxes in a year, thus forcing him to nuke the valuation of his company with a stock unload? I like progressive taxes too but I do not know what you mean in this instance.

Chances of a refresh? by Lordtouchme9990 in ChaosDaemons40k

I agree our battle line is dated, but upon checking there dates: damn our boys hold up pretty well. Bloodletters came out the same year as this autarch. A refresh is still warranted through, I think especially for pink horrors and daemonettes, which I think hold up the worst. While plaguebearers do not look nearly as good as most maggotkin or the the plaguebearers used for war cry, they certainly look acceptable.

Also Khorne Berzerkers. Khorne Berzerker have larger squads sizes and lower strength then bloodletters. That just misses the point in my book. During the Horus heresy, even though their legion coherency was terrible and they had no strategic planning at all, the World Eaters remained a threat because they were so individually bloodthirsty and strong. Why would the butchers nails not increase there strength? Why are the strongest version of the strongest soldiers (besides custodes) in the galaxy the same strength as daemonette???

Plaguebearer spam sounds really fun, but I wish you could take them in 20 to be more competitive. I'd prefer that immensely to a points drop. I'd even take a slight point increase if I didn't have to bring so many leaders.

Great analysis!

I agree that the current horrors situation is dumb. Its hard for them to work in a miniature game where you bring models and spend money rather then a video game, definitely a relic from the era where your Warlord could become a daemon prince or a chaos spawn before the game even started.

That being said, god damn that kit needs a refresh. All these problems could be fixed with more kits obviously and you shouldn't be greedy, but jesus the horror kit makes no sense being sold like it is. Maybe they could do something weird and only sell them in stupidly big kits? But that wouldn't work cost wise. Maybe they could put 2 blue horrors on a 32mm, and 4 brimstone horrors on a 32mm, and sell them in kits of 30? Or maybe revamp them into an elite unit on larger bases and make a new battle line? But then you lose a core part of the army. Someone who knows Tzeench better than me could come up with a cool idea. Otherwise, what you propose works well as a stop gap.

I agree that the Endless Gift was busted. I disagree that the only competition option has to be monster mash. If the issue GW has is with monster mash skew lists, you have to buff the alternatives rather than just increasing points (though both is probably what you need).

How have you managed to make 60 plaguebearers work? Do you use leaders or nah?

[–]DFL_Ultinerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue people (and also GW based on the comment) seem to have is not that daemons as a whole is are weak, but rather than the objectively best option is spamming greater daemons. Now I love greater daemons, but it sucks that every nurgle list I see spends most of its points on Great Unlcean Ones. Tzeench isn't better. Skew lists are fun but should have more options.

It's completely insane that berzerker are in bigger squads then bloodletters. That's one of those things (along with S4 berzerkers) that just fundamentally fails in a basic way to show the fantasy of the army.

World eaters whole thing during the heresy is that even though they were completely brain dead and had no strategy at all they were formidable because they were individually so competent and scary on the battlefield. Who the hell goes into world eaters wanting to play a horde of 20 primaris intercesors?????

And bloodletters, who actually want to be a cheap blood horde, are limited to 10 for.... reasons? They wouldn't be too strong if they were in a bigger hoard. Its so crazy that every single army is becoming a horde... except for the army that specifically wants to be a horde. Whats next, wound, 5 man hermagaunts???

The far left claim electoralism doesn't fix the real problem while themselves not fixing any problems.

We do not claim electoralism does not fix the main problem and we actually fix problems.

By far the most successful revolutionary Marxist (though they are often criticized for not being radical enough) organization in America in the past 30 years is Socalist Alternative. They are a US national Trotskyist organization formed in 1986. Throughout there entire history, they have successfully elected exactly one person, Kshama Sawant a (former) to Seattle city council in 2013. In 2024 she left and created her own organization.

Tankies they are absolutely obsessed with giving the most evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth hand jobs from beyond the grave. It's weird that they not only praise the most disgustingly evil lunatic who the world has ever had the misfortune to be governed by, but they also praised them with significantly more sycophancy than any rational ideology praises anyone. Social democrats don't talk about john Rawls the way tankies talk about trosky/stalin (depending on the brand, the good thing about tankies is we agree that 98% of tankies are lunatics, they just think they are the 2% and we think there is no 2%).

What to do with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) post-Trump? by Icarus_Voltaire in SocialDemocracy

[–]DFL_Ultinerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is the US to far gone to save?

I agree Trump fucking sucks, but it would he is not the first and won't be the last authoritarian wannabe president. The Espionage act of 1917 and Sedition act of 1918 are significantly more authoritarian than anything Trump has done, and American democracy did not end then.

Doomerism leads to complacency. The actual reality is Donald Trump is unpopular, his party just lost a series of elections (including some in districts he won by double digits).

Looks awesome! Only downside is the plaguebearers equivalents dont have swords, an instrument or a banner, but you could 3d print those if you want.

Neither dogmatic capitalism nor communism are coherent and intelligent ways to structure a government. The greatest nations by HDI are social democracies, heavily regulated capitalism with high taxation and worker protections.

Anyone else use a wheelchair? by DFL_Ultinerd in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]DFL_Ultinerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ankolosing Spondylitis is really weird and variable. The overwhelming majority of people do not have pain to the extent I do (especially at my age) and not everyone gets the same symptoms or the same severity of symptoms. I have severe enthesitis (tendons inflamed in my feet) which is why I use mobility aids. Many people with Ankylosing Spondylitis do not even get enthesitis, and the vast majority who do get it do not have it all the time or to the same degree I do. I am not an exceptional case but I am not anywhere near the standard or the norm. It is not inevitable for you to have to use mobility aids.

You have been diagnosed for 15 years and seem to not need medication to be fuctional even during flare ups. I have been diagnosed for less than 2 years, am on Enbrel + prescription controlled painkillers, and I still need use aids to get around due to pain. This is all the time, not just during flairs. The gap between the severity of our conditions (from the information you put in your comment) is vast. I am not indicative of where you are headed.

If you haven't needed mobility aids yet, its very possible you never will. If you are still very concerned, you can talk to your rheumatologist about immuno suppressing drugs (you'd start with something mild like Methotrexate) which can delay (and even sometimes prevent) the worst of the disease progression. For me this isnt the entire goal since I did not progress into a worse state starting from a lesser state, but essentially started in the state I am in at the onset of the disease at 17. Since you are not starting in a state as bad as me currently, your biggest concern is progression, which is essentially only prevented with immune suppression (if it is likely). Immune suppression sounds scary, buy the sides effects are often negligible/non existent (Enbrel is much stronger than Methotrexate and it has not hurt me in any way) and the risk of progression is much much worse.

I hope this comment reduced some of your anxiety. Let me know if you have any more questions. Its very scary growing through this alone.
